Very cool! Had a blast last year. I really appreciate events like this. Where we "none owners" can see and drool over the incredible cars. The cars looked good in the rain, "some" of them looked good with the rain in them. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great pics! I would love a high res version of the rear Challenge shot if you have it. I can't remember exactly, but I think we had 25 Ferraris show up last year, even with the rain and even though it was our first year. If the weather holds out and with the other exotics it should be a great informal event.
Unfortunately you're looking at the high res. I had my old Mavica then. Thats the actual photos. I'll have the 5Meg Pixel this year.
A bit off subject, but something I think everyone needs to realize, if you didn't already know...greater megapixel cameas do NOT mean greater image quality. It just mean you have the ability to take natively larger pictures. So if you are used to taking casual pictures, say 1024x768, buying a camera with a higher megapixel factor will not get you better 1024x768 picutres, just the ability to capture pictures larger than that. Digital camera manufactuers are implying megapixels as a sense of image quality, when really, that has nothing to do with it.
Oh agreed. My old Mavica takes pretty darn good pictures especially for it's age. That's why I have the new Sony DSC T1. It's also a very good camera.
That's what I have too and I love it. Have to keep it really still though, but I think most digitals are like that.
ill be flying up to Dallas on the 4th, flight leaves at 3:45pm, wish i could make it..but ill be up in Dallas for the whole summer, my birth city of Dallas. Rob, would it be possible to get a list of events that are going around in Dallas for June and July? Thanks a lot! John
Thanks Tillman, i will be staying in Highland Village, so i will be able to check everything out, LoD, FoD, RufCen, and will do whatever it takes to attend the events. Thanks. John
Can everyone do me a big favor and contact all the local exotic car clubs and forums to invite them. No FCA membership required. Just a $20 entry fee per car that includes lunch sponsored by Boardwalk. Lamborghini, Lotus, Porsche, Maserati, DeLorean, Pantera, and etc. Let me know which clubs you contact. The PDF version located on www.fcadfw.com is only about 60k, so easy to mail around. There will be a total of 12 trophies available for non-Ferraris. Thanks!
I'm planning on bringing my 360 up from Houston. Should be fun. I grew up in Dallas but haven't had a chance to drive the 360 around there yet. Can't wait to drive my old stomping grounds in an F-car!
Yes Robert, got your entry today. We're getting quite a few entries in, if you are going to send early, do so this next week. Thanks!
I should be there this year to do the whole meet and greet, Ill mossy around and take pictures and such . As for cameras, Ill take my Canon G6 over any camera in its price range. It wont fit in my pocket like your Sony DSC T1, but I can get a superb crisp clear pictures without being perfectly still and so on
