Last year they gave me a little crap at the gate about coming to watch. Anything that I can do to make getting through the gate easier? Should I start slinging names?;)

Last year I talked to Steve Jones ahead of the event and he was nice enough to leave my name and cars that would be coming at the front gate.

I'm off, driving the 355. Thanks for holding the rooms open. The online booking indicates the hotel is full (Berryhill).

FERRARI OF WASHINGTON TO ATTEND! I was talking to Glenn Marquis, who heads service now- use to head the race team, and he indicated they were coming to this event, bringing some Challenge cars, customer cars, and MAYBE the 360GT! This is the one that won GRANDAM a few years back. My car was raced by Jim Kenton through FOW, winning the 348 Challenge in 1996. They have a great program-and a winning race team. It should be really cool forealdo!

I never have a problem at the Gate. The Security guys already know me by name (I hope that is a good thing :) ) As soon as I pull up they usually say "Hey Bruce , so what event are you attending today??"

Btw Ken , Contact the hotel at 434-517-7000 and talk to Tony at the Front desk. I think all they have in the system is 1 Queen Bed rooms left but they might still be holding a few doubles which I would say very few left !! I know they probably have some rooms set to the side just for the FCA members.

This is going to be the biggest & best FCA@VIR so far. Start kicking yourself if you're not going to be there, both at the track AND at the Berry Hill concours. You WILL regret missing this one!

Well, I guess I'll just have to make the trip on Saturday. Guess I'm just a bit apprehensive going all that way then maybe having trouble at the gate.

If you see someone around in a grey mustang with a Virginia Tech shirt and a camera. Don't worry that's just me.

Any pictures I'll take I'll make sure to get up in a private gallery somewhere and post the link here so those that went can go and download them.

No guesses. No rumors. Just the facts, man. The cars on track will be fantastic (think SPGTOCS) and the concours will be a jaw-dropper - fit for a magazine cover!

I also plan on showing up Sunday A.M. to catch all the action and scan the infield. If I knew anyone personally I would also like to slide in by the gate, with as many cars in the field it should be well worth it though.

Hope to meet some you guys up there.

Thanks, when is the latest we can drop off (just in case)? How far is the track from the Berry Hill? Coming from I-70 (Indy), what is the best route? I heard something about a very dangerous hill? Lover's Leap or something? Jim

I am not sure how late they are open as most of the time it varies based on how quickly the group running on Friday lingers areound. I want to get there around 5 so I can drive to the hotel and get my stuff ready to do registration at the hotel that night.

I'll be driving a white Dodge truck and trailer with a Gallardo Spyder.

    Best
