You got my Dino there, before It he clutch blew. I have to say it's a great little track, fast and fun!
Photos uploading now. https://flic.kr/s/aHsjYfWFRS Fun time albeit the washed out roads from the storm probably added some time to the rally. Would have been even better if not for all the rocks. Someone suggested next time having a Ferrari sweeper lead the pack to sweep out all the road debris.
Damn, can't believe I missed the enzo. Maybe it'll be back tomorrow. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
Great day at the track, and great to see many old friends. Bob, I saw you on the track. The car looked great!
There was a Radical there that had street license plate. I did not know they were street legal. You would scrap over every bump but that thing was awesome looking. The Enzo was behind Competizione's tent.
The radical was parked near me. Looked like it had independent dealer plates but I agree I didn't know they were street legal either. Lots of great cars out today, really looking forward to tomorrow.
Anyone up for cars & coffee, we meet at the leesburg wegmans a couple miles down the road at 8:30. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
Bob Demart and his track crew earned a much deserved thank you! Thanks for allowing me to run the 360 and TR during lunch. You managed a safe and fun event. http://youtu.be/mSeSo9RDR2c I'll renew my dues today as a my way of saying thanks. Bill, great to seeing you taking pics on the track before we entered the straight. I don't think you can top the pic of the TR and the Capitol. You have a gift. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great video, thanks for posting. I was hoping to make it to the event for the TR parade laps but unfortunately work got in the way. How many parade laps did the TRs do?
I was fortunate to catch Bob in the paddock and thank him in person. I completely agree that Bob and his whole crew put on a great three day track event. This was my first time on Summit Point Main and my first FCA track event. I have done a few FATT events at Jefferson and Shenandoah but I have to admit I am definitely hooked on Main. I will definitely be back with my 360 in the very near future. If only we could get more locals interested in track events we could get back to doing regular club events. It is really special sharing the track with so many great cars. I also enjoyed seeing the Challenge cars run. I can't believe it is all over.. :-( Scott Rossa Corsa 360 Modena car #16
What a great weekend with old friends and new friends. Enjoyed it completely! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I dropped by Lansdowne after lunch to see who was still there and was sad to see it pretty much deserted. Sure did go by fast. These were my first track experiences and although I only did the beginner touring, I loved it. I'd be all over doing this more often. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
I noticed that Enzo was pulled over on the highway by the police ... I hope the officer was just wanting to seeing the car, not for speeding.
I also took the 360 on the track Friday in the rain. Surprisingly, the TR felt better planted in the carousel and turns. I didn't expect that (the 360 was not in Sport mode). The cop was ticketing drivers. He smiled and waved to me as I passed by him in the TR. I saw him well in advance and slowed down for the railroad tracks and managed to pass him doing 25mph. He picked a good spot to make his monthly ticket quota. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Come drive with PCA Potomac, especially at Summit Point Main. We have an event in July, August, September and October - all on Motorsports.com. For years, I was the only Ferrari (360 Spider) driving with them, so they are used to Ferrarris. I currently drive a GT3, but we likely will have a 430 Challenge car driving with us in the future.
