Yeah, we were talking about the same one, it is a bit more pinned in. Plano homes mostly seemed to have decent lots though compared to Vegas.
thats not even desirable to me, so big that it is unappealing which I was recently in a 14,000 sq ft home and I could not find people when I was looking for them all the time, gets a bit frustrating
The one visit I've had to Vegas was confined to the strip; didn't get into other areas at all. It seems strange that with all the land around they're building high-density suburban housing.
No, I think it's more because all of the action in Vegas is on the strip. Outside of the strip most of Vegas is pretty crappy. People from out of town, who want to own property in Vegas, would love to have that property right on the strip so they don't have to travel far to enjoy what they came for. You go to Vegas for the strip (most do anyway), so why not have your condo there? Why buy a large estate outside the strip and have to maintain it, then you have to drive everywhere, etc.
I dont have a favorite mansion but i drive threw Beverly Hills often and there is alot of amazing houses there.
check out "carolands chateau" on wikipedia....i looks modest but is pretty freakin' big when you're standing next to it.....
I really haven't seen that many mansions to be quite honest. We have some in Orlando/Windermere, but they aren't anything extravagant (except one). I'm willing to bet there are a ton of mansions with features I've never seen let alone imagined. For now, I'd have to say the Biltmore Estate. The attention to detail is incredible and the design is pretty nice although not my favorite.
I'm sure this one is completed by now, I think it was about 7 years in the making. It's on a bluff overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and reminds me of Capt. Nemo's Nautilus from the road. The Gulf side has light green glass walls about 30' high. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Still not finished. Vacation quite often on 30-A and it seems to be in a constant state of prolonged progress. Every spring I expect to see it completed and then the fall comes and it looks the same. That particular home and the one next door have generated as many rumors as to the owners as the number of years it has been under construction. As an aside, the area remains my favorite...despite visiting other beautiful locales.
It's literally a stroll west of Rosemary Beach which is about 10 minutes west of Panama City Beach. http://www.rosemarybeach.com/
Which is close to Seaside, the town where "The Truman Show" was filmed. This strip of beach is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Shhhh...don't tell anyone. Wish I still lived there.
That's amazing. Looks like all poured-in-place concrete, including the roofs. Nice organic shapes. The first thing I thought of was the Sydney Opera house.
After researching, googling, and maps.live'ing this property I can certainly say this is definitely one hell of a property. Funny location though.
