A few months ago, the immobilizer on my 2008 430 went bad and the car immobilizer stayed on and therefore the car would not start. Page 23 and 24 of the 430 Owner's Manual gives an Emergency Starting Procedure. The procedure requires the Code Card and has 9 steps. The process seems very complex and after trying it multiple times, I concluded it was not going to work. Has anyone ever tried the Emergency Starting Procedure and had it work?

If you search for 360 and immobiliser you'll find lots of threads with people using the PIN to start the car. Sounds very convoluted.

There's also a few other things that can cause the immobiliser to fail to disarm, without the immobiliser itself being bad, if I remember rightly. You've probably already done it but double check the fuses and the alarm siren.

OK, you got me interested. I looked at my manual. Is the "code" card the same one as the radio? Or is it a different card in my paperwork?

    Hi Cory,
The Code Card is NOT the radio code card. They are two different things.
