    I am looking for a metal FAF Motorcars licence plate frame (if such a thing existed). If I can locate one it will be a fitting end to a 30+ year journey. Please PM me if you have one that you would sell or can tell me if FAF ever made a metal frame.

    I have one. Last year John Apen had a stack at the T Rutland's picnic too. I may have a couple. I'll dig around for them.

    Plastic is lighter...the last thing you want to do with a mid-engine Ferrari is ad more weight behind the rear axle...LoL

    you are right.

    I didn't notice he asked for a metal one. I don't think I have ever even seen a metal faf tag frame before.

    We have shirts, license plate frames, driveway tags...wait there is a reason for that. If you want one of the frames let me know, but they are plastic.

    FaF was the name of what is now Ferrari of Atlanta. At the time, it was Ferrari, Alfa, Fiat, though even some of their own publications changed it to "For All Ferraristi". Their logo is well known here in the southeast, as it had the prancing horse entwined with a unique font for "faf". Below is a scan I just made from a parts catalog/flyer they sent out in May of 1993 (yes, I still have it!) that has the logo as it was changed for their 20th anniversary to also include the "wreath".

    I have a stack of parts catalogs and car catalogs going back to 87. FAF sold all kinds of goodies back in the day. I miss that little out-of-the-way dealership. Lots of good memories...

    Spent lots of days down there in 1976. The first new ferrari they sold as a dealer we bought it. Turned out to be the fiberglass 308. In 1975 we bought a 308 GT 4 from John.
