Getting back into Ferrari ownership after many years away. Last was a manual 575M sold in 2009. I've just purchased a 812 and was looking for a factory service manual. Does anyone know where I can obtain one? TIA
This seems like it should be a simple matter, but in my case, it was anything but. I was looking for a service manual for an F12 - couldn't find a pdf version anywhere. Eurospares listed one, but it turned out to be another owner's manual. My service contact at the Ferrari dealer hinted getting a service manual wouldn't be an easy matter, which I found puzzling. I contacted Ferrari N.A. Customer care and after some time, they assigned a case number which required me to take the car to my Ferrari dealer where they could take a picture of the engine and gearbox serial numbers. Having done that, the dealer pestered their contacts at Ferrari N. America at my bidding on several occasions, but that didn't seem to be producing any results. Finally, I shared my frustration with customer care by email one final time and they finally sent the manual to the dealer The whole exercise took 7 months.... hopefully, you'll have better luck.
It seems like Ferrari does not want owners to have the workshop manual, otherwise they might be able to work on the car themselves. In the words of Mona Lisa Vito, "Oh, what a f___'in nightmare!"
Thanks Karl, But it was the full factory service manual I was after as I have the original owners manual.
I didn't know there was one? As in the one that records your service intervals with stamps? I thought that all electronic these days?
Nope that's the service record book. The FSM details all aspects of the vehicle, Engine, Transmission, Chassis, Electrical, Bodywork, Torque specs and Systems.
He was looking for the workshop manual (repair manual). The manual that contains the procedures for how to do all the repairs on the 812. I was able to provide it
Got it, thanks. He might become the first person in history to repair / service their own (modern) Ferrari!
It will help me with fitting an exhaust and switched controller and other bits I'd like to tackle and do myself. How to remove trim panels to route cables etc etc I don't need an indy to do it for me.
Hi I just saw this post. I just received my new to me 2018 812 super fast. I just started a thread looking for a copy of the 812 shop repair Manual. if anyone can help me locate a copy I much appreciate it.
The exhaust isn’t too bad, but the pipes that go between the stock H pipe and the mufflers can be a real pain to move around because of the tight space they are in. It’s made easier with the mufflers out, I did just h pipe to X pipe, so I didn’t take the mufflers off when I did it. If you have questions about the exhaust job, let me know and I’d be happy to give some pointers.
hey all--was wondering if anybody could let me know how i can go about obtaining a service manual, appreciate the help.
I was wondering if you have a service manual for an 812. I can’t seem to figure out how to PM either in this.
Hey im a foreman at an independent, just did a full novitek exhaust on this 2020 812, and now he wants the lowering springs but i dont feel comfortable without the service manual. Any chance you still have one ?
