While out at Pebble Beach, this 288 GTO was on display. 729 KM on the dial. I took note that AC and power windows were not optioned. I believe that is very rare (I think I read once that only 19 cars were delivered without AC and power windows, though I can't be certain). This car is being auctioned by RM at the Ferrari Maranello 70th Anniversary auction next month. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not sure if it was an option, but I've noticed on the F50 that some cars have black headlamps instead of color-matched interior casings. Anyone know if this was an option? I thought maybe it was euro-only, but I've seen a couple cars in the US with the black headlights like a yellow one similar to this picture in Florida a few years back. IIRC, only Red F50 had the headlamps painted to match the body color. The other ones have them in black. Some owners have had them painted to match the color.
