Hi, I'm in the market for another F8 tributo. I see most dealers are still selling for over MSRP, a lot of times more then a newer 296 GTB. Is this real world pricing? I thought for sure I'd be able to snag one under msrp with low miles. It makes me now reconsider the F8 and I may get a 812 super fast since they are a pretty good deal right now well under msrp.

I would by an F8 over a 296 all day long.

Yep still high. F8 is the last and arguably the best v8 ice car they’ve done and only available for a couple of years. I think the Pista is more collectible but f8 is really close in nearly every metric. After all it’s a “tribute” to the engine line. 296 and 812 are great cars but not special in any of these metrics that keep prices high.

I had a few options for 296's back in May when I went from 488 to F8 but didn't "feel it" with the 296 for the price and haptic buttons on the cabin and the hybrid layout. Plus the 296 is smaller and at 6'5" I fit but not as good as 488/F8.

F8 are advertised way over MSRP but you can shop around and negotiate and end up slightly above where mom F8's lower miles, right spec spec and no cosmetic issues will sell at. Others depending on the seller and car spec will sell right at or really close to MSRP. F8's have been holding the line really well and despite the economy will continue to hold the line for various reasons and how buyers shop and what they want in a Ferrari.

Selling and asking are very different. Spiders are selling for over and tributo are selling for at or under, depending on spec.

Thus the reason F8’s are still going over and 296’s are below (and gonna come down a LOT more)

DuracellMobiles will depreciate and NA will be stable and appreciate- especially non-turbo NA <which is now an interesting distinction- is a turbo V8 "NA"??>

Regardless- 458, 488, F8 will outpace the 296 DuracellMobiles from a value standpoint in the long run IMHO

20K under MSRP you will need to find a 2020 low spec as in standard seats, no carbon, etc
with 10k, probably more plus miles on it at a independant dealer (Ferrari Cert costs) or individual that is desperate to sell.

Here is an example... non-Ferrari Certified, no charge color, standard seats, no carbon, low spec, high miles and under MSRP.

F8 Spiders (depending on spec and miles, of course) are still over MSRP in many cases. That surprises people, but when you remember that a roughly equally speced 296GTS is MORE THAN 100k HIGHER.....it starts to make more sense.

Ferrari killed any potential of secondary market strength/stability on the 296 with their massive price increase. Regardless of how you feel about the hybrids (and to be clear, the 296 is a fantastic car) this price increase to keep any premium to themselves really hurt resale values.

Is there a reason why there are more available spiders than coupes?

I think they actually made more. And in my observation, spider buyers (or any convertible model of any brand) seem to hold cars for less time. Different mentality owner.

No BAT is open to public and is known to bring the most money for most cars - with no commission to seller - and 5% to buyer max 7500 which is peanuts on a 400000 car
So not sure why you feel it is low ball numbers .. maybe getting confused with another "dealer" website ?

They are only wholesale numbers when an F8 sells below msrp. When it’s way above msrp it changes into how strong the F8 market is. lol

Shaddup both of ya [emoji23] it’s not ‘ONLY’ but yes, it is ‘mostly’ not end users winning the auctions. So therefore, exotics on BAT get sold again for higher to final user.

Does the f8 still suffer from catastrophic Brake/Transmission failure and irreversible metallurgy failures?
