Hi All, been about 2 years since I had my F8. I always missed my 458 as f8 was more muted but didn't bother much until recently when my neighbor got 812. I love my F8, but it's too muted and it bugs me more now.

Local Ferrari suggests Novitec for about 20k (Toronto). What's the best exhaust (so it sounds loud ). Recommendations for other exhausts ? Shops? Price ? I prefer Ferrari dealer unless they would charge me 3X.

    Heard Gintani exhausts?

Lastly those who have gotten after market, worth it and you notice a big difference? Happy to meet fellow owners to hear if possible too.

You're going to get a lot of bots telling you not to do it.

Do what you want though. Changing the exhausts on these cars completely transform them into animals.

No other exhaust is better than the voodoo exhaust on a F8. https://www.voodoo-design.com/ferrari/f8-tributo/exhaust

You have to change the cats otherwise it's not worth it with GPF.

Delete the gpf. Put on the X pipe. No tune. Keep cats. Sounds great.

Won’t work on a F8…deleting the gpf would require a tune.

That is also not correct unless you’re including the Novitec Tectronic plug in to the OBD in your definition of a ‘tune’.

That’s essentially a tune to the ECU to remove warning lights, adjust air fuel ratio etc. Novitec claims more power so they are manipulating the ECU. Novitec sells this as a ECU tune..

Change any part of the F8 exhaust (other that the tips that are cosmetic bolted to the bumper cover) because it’s all electrical monitoring cats and GPF and electrically operated valves and you need to manipulate (tune) the ECU for the car to run correctly

Any X pipe non valved system and catless downpipes is going to sound very good.

I do agree...I have heard F8 with 100 and 200 cel cats, no GPF, no muffler and X Pipe and the car sounds like it should have from the factory...sounds really awesome. I've heard straight down pipes to X Pipe and a little louder, to me not too loud and it sounds really good. A local friend of mine with a F8 did a tune...tuned on a dyno, downpipes no cats gpf and X pipe and tested at the drag strip and got .4 sec faster if that is your thing. If he put sticky rubber on the rear he'd be .5 sec faster than stock. Yes different days but very similar weather.

I really like my F8 but the sound needs to be more intoxicating, raw and fun to match the car.

I’m with ya… I got 1.5 years left of warranty and at that point, I’m hoping they’ve developed an exhaust for the F8 and I’m gonna do it [emoji1545][emoji1545]

His car sings, has a good howl to it even with turbo's and with F8 shorter gears, slightly more power response it is fun. His car is Blue Cross with white/ blue race seats...it's a looker too

They? there are options and tunes for F8 or you talking Ferrari the manufacture comes out with an option? If you are thinking Ferrari there is no way they as a company will go through the due diligence and testing to do this.

No, 'they' just meant any company that can make/invent one that works on F8 and doesn't harm the car/engine/electronics/turbos etc. As of now, they all have short and long term problems...so guys are doing it, enjoying it and selling them before the engine and turbos and heat issues and electronics all fail...so the problems are there for next owners instead.

Gotcha ya.. well.... personally I am not craving more power. I do not street race. I am not drag racing at the track chasing seconds. If I ever do the track again you still do not need more power than the car has stock.

However I do believe you could work with a tuner that knows these cars well for a very mild tune and just eliminate GPF, bump to 100 or 200 cell cats and X Pipe and the car would run fine for ever. The turbo's are "supposed to be upgraded from 488 and Pista in the F8 but that might be debatable. If you are not increasing power much with this mild tune just to eliminate check engine light due to gpf and electronic controller exhaust valves the turbos will be fine.

Ya I’m not looking for more power either. Just would be nice if it sounded a bit meaner and louder. I really don’t mind the stock sound though; it sounds pretty good but I’d like better and more
