Hey guys, I have a F8 that's already on the boat that should be here by August. I need to sell my current 488 GTB before it arrives. What have people found to be the best way to sell their Ferrari's for the highest amount of money? I'm thinking that people who are willing to spend that kind of money would only want to buy Ferrari's from the actual Ferrari dealer. However with consignment, there's that pretty heft percentage fee. I guess if they can get a higher price than I could, it might not matter, but what does everyone else usually do?
    Thanks!

Hey! Congrats! I thought it would be hard to top the 488. I was wrong! I love the F8!

(sorry, I won't suggest a marketplace, as I don't know much) On such topics, I rather shut up and listen to what others with real experience say versus give bad advice.

I don't want to look like a fool and also hurt your prospects! Look forward to what others suggest!

    Good luck with your sale!

Gotta say, these guys are legit and super easy to deal with

    https://webuyexotics.com/

I sold a McLaren GT to them just a couple months ago. EASY and good money for the car.

I considered using them when I sold a 911 Carrera S a couple of years ago. They came in just a bit behind (timing wise) someone else , but actually offered me more! I had already agreed to the deal with the other company though.

So - this time, I went to them first.

Not much to say, really. Easy to deal with, top dollar, no hassle, wired me the money first...etc. Can't ask for more than that.

on a different note, I was wondering how long it took for you to get your F8? I've ordered my over a year ago and still being told it's not ready for production and getting the feeling i'm getting the run around. Also, Did you have to pay over MSRP?

I can tell you for me it was about 17 months from deposit (Nov 2020) until delivery. Nobody should be paying over MSRP (as long as it's a new order from Ferrari).

Its really not that long to get published, and it certainly seems that the more unique or exotic the quicker they are likely to get you live. I had heard the lead times were quite long, but As a first time seller back in March I had a CL500 Mercedes live within 2 weeks from when i completed all my information to them. The key was having all pictures and other useful info submitted all at once and up front.

I wouldn't use Carsandbids.com as a sales platform for a high dollar car. I bought an M3 on there last year and thought i got a great deal. It definitely seems to be more of a buyers platform compared to BaT

I'm no expert, but I think that if you go back to the F8 dealer and turn the 488 in as a "trade in" then you avoid the sales tax on the difference in the values. In Cal that should be something north of $20K which gives both of you some negotiating room to agree on a value. Or maybe things are different on the left coast?

Seen it a lot on the east coast too. Plus, what is one's time worth? There's a short window to work with and that is worth something too. Would recommend 'think big picture' to the op

California you have to pay full sales tax each time, there is no deduction for trade in value tax credit, California is one of 7 states that is setup this way ( California, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Montana and Virginia )

the rest of the states give you tax credit on the value of your trade in

Lol. Even the underside of the front bumper is pristine with no scuff marks!! That's pretty rare in California!

Sell it at the local Chrysler dealer..seeing as they are made under the same umbrella now. Maybe they will service it too?
