This might be old news but I couldn't find anything about it on Fchat or anywhere else on the net for that matter. Theres an F50 GT advertised for sale in the September issue of Dupont Registry. Anyone got anymore info on this car?
word is there are three the one Mr Z owns is 100% the real deal, full race by F the other 2 are cosmetic clones, Dont know if F did them or someone else I would bet the car you saw is a clone since Mr Z doesnt need the $$
Likely to be #003 which is the only one to have changed hands so far from its original owner. Here's a shot of it taken recently in Japan. Image Unavailable, Please Login Any idea where the vehicle is now based on the duPont Registry ad? >8^) ER
damn that car is just BRUTE FORCE! I wonder how much the original untouched one would go for if put on the market? $5-$10 million?
Rumor has it that Art was offered 6M and tuned it down but then again, he is also the only owner to see what these cars can do really since the other two are garage queens
Is there a reason I can't view any of your attached pictures, Erik? I only see the file name, file size, and number of views in your posts. Somehow you manage to put it in the middle of your posts rather than at the bottom like everyone else, hah. Although when I quote you, a link appears in the quoted post.
I guess it works sometimes and not other times. Right now Erik's post displays the picture, but before it didn't. Only showed text saying the file name, size, and number of views (I was logged in both times). Thanks for the link.
#002 in Japan isn't entirely a garage queen. It's been on track at least twice. #003 was tracked when it was in Australia at least once. As for the photo glitch - I dunno. First I have heard that the inline images feature was causing anyone trouble. >8^) ER
Is Light Auto selling the F50 GT? And for that matter, is 28R for sale by them anymore? Tillman reports the same issue. It's a little inconsistent: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137513312&postcount=27
I don't see the F50 GT listed on the Light Auto website. It's also not listed on Oakfields though they were in posession of it prior to its trip to Japan. Is Oakfields the agent that has listed it in the duPont? #28R is over at BingoSport now, asking a reported $3.8M with no spares. >8^) ER
William, I'm interested to know where you heard this. I was under the impression that all three F50 GTs were to the same spec.
That's my understanding as well Carbon - all three should be fundementally identical both cosmetically and mechanically. Chassis #003 is somewhat easy to spot as when it was in Australia, a uniquely shaped driver's seat was fitted to the car and it has remained in place ever since.
