I'll admit i dont know as much as many of you about Ferrari and other cars, but i know the basics, and i appreciate a good car eg Lindsay foxes Ferrari F50, having gone to his museum just to see that car

However i have one question and plese excuse my ignorance in saying this
What type of Ferraris have spare tyres. I have a model F50 and in all of the pictures i've seen it dosent seem to have one...What about the Enzo?
Do they have a spare tyre and, if not what happens if one goes flat while driving it on the road....what is the procedure? Do owners have roadside assist, even so if i owened an F50 i wouldnt want it to be towed by some hack..
Most understandably the some F50s and Enzos arnt driven much, and if they are they might be given track work, therefore a the spare tyre is not much of a problem. However road driving might be a diffrent question

Anyway sorry if thats a really stupid question, i dont know heaps about Ferraris nor own one but i would love to...
I just havnt seen where the spare tyre is on an F50 and Enzo and i'm interested to see if they have one at all...

I know that some cars (high performance ones) now have other run flat devices. The Elise (i think) has a can of that foam spray stuff that is pumped into the tyre allowing it to be driven at slow speeds for a while. Maybe the F50 has a similar system?

    interesting question alright. :)

personally, i don't carry a spare tyre. my last couple cars have been small and i've wanted the weight loss, and in metro areas i've never had a flat... and of all the say 5,000 cars per day i see on the streets, i see maybe one or two flat tyres per year.

i was really paranoid at one stage, as i used to live in the outback and it was just common that we'd be changing tyres 2-3 times per week. it got so normal that a flat tyre would be almost expected on any given day. when i first started driving around the city, every day i would make sure i had 2 spares, a jack, some tools, water, some canned food... etc., but i'm kinda over it now.

if it happens nowadays, i'll just call for a tow and pop into the local of wherever i'm stranded.

We had a flat tire at 80km/h once, kinda scary but I handled it....we had to pull over in this bogan suburb and we were carrying a spare which was lucky.
I know that the Bmw 7 series have a tires that pump themselves up or something like it. Hummers also have this system.
I have a model F40, it has a spare tyre in the front, as does the 288 GT0 and my friends Ferrari 348 has a spare in the front, wether that came standard or not i dont know. He's also fitted 355 rims to it, looks pretty cool too being a spyder....
