Hello all. I am new here so sorry if this is the wrong forum. Two things: I just bought my f430 and noticed a light gasoline smell while driving. Also, I started driving today and white smoke starting coming out of the engine bay on the passenger side by the rear glass. The smell mimicked burning brakes. I was driving it going about 40mph when this happened. Before taking it to the dealer I just wanted to see if anyone had some insight!
Burning brake smell could be clutch. Did it feel like it was slipping? Any way the e-brake may have been on.
Get it to the dealer to check the fuel pumps for leaks ( known problem) Check that the hand brake is not stuck on, feel the rear discs for heat. Any sign of oil leaks on the top of the engine dripping onto the exhaust. Go to the dealer soon
I agree, flatbed it to shop for gas smell. White smoke, I had a water line burst, lots of white smoke. Could be a pinhole water leak and burning anti freeze smell? Good luck for an easy fix.
If its a matter of days or a week u bought it id flatbed it back and raise hell. Whatever u do Dont drive it
