Hi guys, After searching for 3 months, found my F430, got it shipped, unloaded it, start it, and boom. Check Engine Light Read it with an Maxi AP200 and got: P000C - 'A' camshaft position slow response bank 2. For full history, 22k miles, had oil changed in May. Had PPI done last week and only notable thing besides cosmetics was the cam cover gaskets need to be replaced. Don’t know if related or not. I was told to clear the code. Then drive for 20 mins. Before I reset, is there anyway to check the last time the codes were reset? Anyone have any experience or advice? Coming from Porsche, where I’ve never had a check engine light in four years, so kinda crazy to have one as it rolls off the truck.
Has it re appeared after you cleared it, also check the battery volts when the starter motor engages.
I didn’t clear it yet, as it was too late last night. I’m going to clear it and go for a drive then check the battery.
If it wasn’t connected to a tender during shipping, it may need a new battery, or connecting to a tender once you’ve cleared the code. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The camshaft position is adjusted by oil pressure by the variators , depending on the engine load/ speed
I cleared it this morning and went for a 20-30 min drive. It didn’t come back on. Everything seemed to be running perfectly.
Some pics! Love it! Way different experience than my 997 Carrera S and love every second! I’ll make a thread just for the car soon probably! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
