    1) warm to normal operating temperature.
    2) raise the vehicle to a suitable height
    3) drain oil
    4) remove and replace filter
    5) replace oil-9 quarts
    6) start to test for leaks
    7) lower vehicle
    8) drive until oil change is again required

Good post. Does anyone have the section of the shop manual for this? There is a little more to it then the above. Removing some of the under panels etc. Finding a good source for the Helix oil etc.?

I would stick with redline on the oil.

The Master (Rifledriver) says this is the way to go.

    I have and would.

Hahahaha! I thought you were chasing actual F430 info for your oil change. The info posted is good, but its common knowledge oil change info. Not F430 oil change info........but they share the same principles mind you. :p
I cant help you out sorry with your manual instructions. :)

i understand the principles of oil change-been there done it-my question is what panel has to be removed for easy access to the oil plug and filter-just want to educate myself before i go at it.nothing like a little knowledge before i start a project.i am sure someone has changed their oil on their f430-as i say -i don't want to drive to toronto just for a oil change-van

To do the oil change thoroughly requires removal of the rear floor section, opening a junction/union on one of the oil pipes, where it leaves the engine going to the oil rad, and blowing through the system with compressed air, to remove the old oil in the rad, in addition to removing oil plugs, and replacing filter.

I'm not a Ferrari owner....but I would assume most owners regularly change their oil WELL under recommended time intervals.

If you change your oil, allowing a complete drain of the pan, every 2-3K kms...in addition to changing before any storage...I don't think a complete method as described in the post above would be necessary.

Taken with a grain of salt of course......I can vouch for no warranty issues.

How about details from the 360 shop manual? Anyone have that or a link to someone else's detailed info? I'm sure pretty much the same.

I think the question should be rephrased as "where is the location of the engine oil drain plug?" I'm interested to know as well

For some reason I cannot print or transfer this info from my Adobe materials.

However, I do have all the oil change info for the 360 which I have to now scan and post.

If someone knows how to get it from Adobe to digital transfer format please let me know and I can post this better and faster.

    Greg,

If you discover the secret of "copy/cut and paste" from Acrobat Reader please let me know.

I'm having exactly the same problem, and can't copy anything from the 360 workshop manual CD's.

I've even tried printing to PRIMO .pdf creator which normally creates a pdf from any file stored on my PC, but in the case of a Adobe Acrobat file they come out blank ??

Open up the pdf to page that you want to copy then press the "Print Screen" button, paste it into paint and post it here. It's not the pdf but at least we can see the diagram.
