Hello, As an owner of a F430 03/2005 M/T, I'd like to know more about the F430 Motronic Ecu's and the specific Ferrari communication protocols used. Some sources say it's a ME7.1.1, others say it's ME7.3.2. Which one is right? Does anybody has the ECU pinout details and cabling diagrams of the F430? Any technical information about the Motronic ECU's would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot, Stef
Thanks for your answer. I got the official info now and both ECU's are ME7.1.1. It seems that the layout you attached is from the F360. I removed mine for making diagnostics and it's very different compared to your picture. Got already lots of info but there's still so much to discover and to decrypt the K lines and Can buses.
hey SfefVan what are you ussing to check the comm lines with? Do you have any experience hacking on any other vehicle makes to cross refrence? I could maybe hook you up with some SD3 printouts as parameter refrences off a US car.
Hi Adam, I'm in IT since many years as a consultant but don't have a huge experience in automotive diagnostics even if I'm quite familiar with low level protocols like CAN or LIN. My goal is to reverse engineer the F430 ECU's. I'd love to have some SD3 printouts because the schematics are very important to start with. You can PM me them if you want to. Many thanks, Stef
your going to spend alot of time doing something thats allready been done. have you read out the data in the ecu yet?
You really think this has already been done? I mean reverse ingeneering of all the CAN / LIN modules? If yes, I'd like to get some more info if you know someone who did this. We have a project to replace the SD3 by a software solution which would do 99% the same but for a much much lower price. And the SD3 will no more be produced as Digitek stopped it. Also Ferrari is changing the SD3 by a thoughbook called DEIS which is directly networked with the factory...BTW, we've already reversed Porches and BMW.
I saw your talking to the durametric guys about it. The people you need are the ones writing performance codes for thease cars. They have access to that fantastic file tells them what all the addresses are In side thease ecus then they find the ones relevant for tuning performance and work with them then ussually will have to fine where the diagnostic code criteria is to change the trigger values so the engine light stays off. Thease files are very expensive and I think illegal to possess. My email is [email protected] let's talk somemore and I'll see if I can point you in the right direction
Yeah, you're right, I'm in touch with them about this project. I very much agree that the guys doing reflashing have a very indeep knowledge of the ECU with can be already a huge vlue of information but I'm not targeting only the ECU's but all the controlers and modules. Sure, I'll drop you an email. Thanks
And I'm still after F430 ECU pinout diagram for booth banks.... can someone please email me a copy as I need to wire up ECU for turbo project. Please email to [email protected] THANKS!
