What would this car have brought w the f1 trans? Half?
I would think it is alligator “belly” not embossed leather. The belly is what is used on most luxury items that are real alligator. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I suspect $20-30k above cost of F1 car and no where near what an original factory manual would. That's what conversion costs depending if you use reproduction or OEM parts. For example the OEM shifter gate plate alone costs $2400. but over time if parts become unavailable for conversion then things may change.
Not to beat a dead "alligator" but this still does not look like what is sewn up onto the interior pieces of that 430 (coloring aside) Image Unavailable, Please Login
The buyer pays 5% up to a max of $5k. The seller just pays $99 listing fee. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
I did see a white F430 spider at the dealer in Newport Beach Ferrari in 2008 with a full alligator interior. The buyer who ordered it had backed out of buying it. The factory had charged $250k for the interior. The economy was in a recession and the dealer was discounting the car $100k and could not sell it Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
I would probably sell my 07 430 spider if offered $250k. I am the original owner but have 45k miles. No CC brakes or CF engine bay. My msrp was $223k Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Yup. I have a really nice F1 360. I entertain no delusions that I could even get what I paid for it almost 3 years ago with 21K miles on it. But with that said it seems there is always one person who will buy if the car simply is just what he's looking for--- or in the case of the "gator" interior 430, something he had no idea existed but simply now after seeing it just has to have it in his garage. But for the most part, like the example you gave, something that extreme is a tough sell-- and probably a tough "trade in" too.
Wow! Even conversion kits to a gated manual are pulling $160k+ I wonder what the overall price to convert would be? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Okay I read it wrong when I was reading through the comments. Why such a disparity in selling price between this one and the other?? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I think lower price than last likely due to relatively higher mileage, older year, not many options ...
Amazing what a few more miles and options will do. lol never seen that drastic of a pricing difference with not that much more miles. Seems very odd. As though the cars are meant to only last 50k miles. I’m sure the engines will last 5x that amount. So I don’t get it. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2007-ferrari-f430-spider-7/ Well here's our wish, a six spider conversion! It will be interesting to see where it goes!!!
Yeh but u can say that about every step down - there are are guys who pay over 100k for clean 355s while you cld easily get a 360 stick or a 430 f1.
This is perpetuated by the market. Let's face it, many (most?) people who buy these cars have to think about the resale value down the line. There is the "How many miles can I drive this wonderful car without being murdered by depreciation" calculation. So, silly low miles get silly money. I'm as guilty as the next buyer.
