I don't think so. The tow hook hole is behind the grill/mesh right above the small hole pictured. Cannot tell what the hole in the spoiler is. Never seen that on a (U.S.) F40 before.

    Dear Comardes,

I have been waiting patiently for aeons for my opportunity to present a response to a technical query to my omniscently distinguished comrades of this palace of iniquity. And yes, at last the opportunity for which I have waited so long, has presented itself. My elation was such that it could not be contained. I began shrieking with joy and dashing into the gardens turned cartwheels of glee not only throughout the curtilage, but around the whole message and even into the hinterlands beyond.

Every day, I have awoken, and excitedly switched on this box-of-tricks wondering if this may be the day when my dream would be realised. But no, my unfettered excitement always metamorphosed into abject despair. But today, is a day in my life that will be remembered forevermore. And yes, I shall celebrate with a Joe Sackeyesque spirited drive within the Illustrious Leviathan Efforty Contumacious Acharnemental Behemothic Pantheonic Perspicuously Iconoclastic Road Ripping Pyrotechnic Thaumaturgical Prestidigitational Indomitable Ochlocracital Metaphysical Peripatetic Aleatory Lollapalooza Efforty.

I am so excited. I really am. Eureka! Eureka! Eurika! Voila! Voila! Voila! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! At last I have achieved my lifetime ambiton . . . . . I must remember to place a waterproof covering upon the Efforty seat . . . . . . Oh dear, this is all too, too, much - I cannot contain myself. I contemplated informing Joe Sackey by telephone . . . . . But California is behind the times . . . . . it is approximately six hours behind England, and thus it is but four o'clcok in the morning in our English Colony of The United States of America. And here I am, possessed of more knowledge than I ever believed that my mind could contain, and there is no one to tell. All my Efforty comrades within The United States of America are asleep and as yet unknowing of the full extent of the mysteries that I am so frantic to impart. The frustration is so extreme. And I am so frightfully concerned that Joe Sackey, 410SA, RufMD and god knows who else may, by some circuitous and machiavellian route discover the quintessence of my knowledge and perchance, may, via an oblation, inveigle all that I am so desperate to impart from Vulcan, God Of Fire, custodian and invigilator of all matters Efforty.

It's a beautiful sunny day in England. I have my prayer-mat close by, and if you will forgive me, please, but I must end this communique to take up my position upon the aforementioned thus to issue my customary oblation of morning prayers to Vulcan.

    With kind regards,

    512 Tea Are

It's for the clock winder. They tried to save weight by leaving the clock adjuster stem off, but, as is typical for Ferrari, later found the clock kept bad time and retrofit a small hole in the front bumper for adjusting the clock.

I'm almost postive that is where it is on the Euro cars.

Thought I read it on here actually....

You're right that it is on all euro cars, but I still think it's a tire marble (on all of them)... Euro cars actually get driven... Since I have no idea what it is, that's my explanation.

Since the Euro cars are driven more, chances are it will be driven in the rain, and an umbrella is stored there, since there is no room in the cabin to store it without it bouncing around...

Looks way too small to be a tow hook hole but I guess it's possible. Not sure why they would create two versions of a tow hook hole. This would have required Ferrari to weld brackets in different places. Doesn't make sense unless the US front spoiler requirement forced Ferrari to move the hole.

there is not enough frame in that location for it to be a tow hook. more likely as a hole for plate mounting or a hole for an access for the front bonnet hinge pins. for what reason I do not know.

I dont' know, it sounds possible. US is goofy when it comes to all the specs and requirements for road cars. Not to mention how strict they get with Exotics.
