I am in the process of stripping my F40's original Speedline Wheels & would like to talk to anybody who has had experience with this type of restoration. I am particularly interested in finding out where I can purchase new original bolts & nuts.

    Welcome to FerrariChat mate! :D:D

Some have restored their own wheels here on Fchat. But I would have a pro do the job, especially for the F40! :D:D

Maybe our good friend Daniel from Ricambi sells the wheel bolts and nuts. :):)

Pop over into the Aussie section and say hello. We are nice bunch of people there and we LOVE F40's! :D:D

Please post some pics of your F40 too. Would love to see pics. :):)

Only "issue" I have heard with it is that it is nearly impossible to have the Speedline etching redone correctly.

Can you still buy the F40 Speedline wheels new? I destroyed one today after hitting a large rock while coming around a bend.

Anyone have a wheel they want to sell?

    yowch bills

I've seen wheels from time to time, should not be hard to find.

Happens to the best of us. I disintegrated a stradale wheel on a pebble.

I'll keep an eye out ;)

Bill the gentleman I linked you to will get you one. Good to see the split rim did its job.

Nope, I had someone do the refurbishment and had the speedline etched on as before. Perfect in fact.

Yes of course. He is just outside London, and has a big wheel refurbishment company. He has done 4 wheels for me already! Initially the lettering was slightly smaller(as it was his first time!), but he tried again and has now got it spot on. If anyone needs info they can pm me.

Sorry, one caveat though. The polished outer rim comes out slightly more polished(in his hands at least) than the stock rims. Remember this is where the etched lettering is on.
So what I am saying is that if you do only one wheel, then it will probably stand out compared to the other stock wheels which have a slightly dulled polished outer rim. Best to do all 4 therefore.
