    I am looking for spark plugs for a different application, but was told that they are the same as F40 plugs. I am looking for Champion G63 plugs...

    Some Internet research has muddied the waters (imagine that)...I've read everything from G63s to plain old NGK BP7ES. My confusion is: G63s are tiny, little 10mm plugs that look like they came from a lawn mower...BP7ES are a more standard 14mm plug.

    Was the G63 the OE spark plug for the F40? If so, is there a good source?

    The application is a BMW motorcycle with very rare Krauser 4 valve cylinder heads...I know there is an NGK equivalent for the G63, but machining is required to use them...I'd prefer to find the G63s.

    Okay...so the G63 is/was OE for F40s?

    At Truechoice Motorsport's website, I'm seeing G57 and G54, but not G63...I'm not sure if I can get away with a cooler plug on this aircooled motor.

    If the G63 was OE, I'll try my local dealer...although I suppose they might only sell them in quantities of 8.

    Try clubplug.net they have good range and prices, They had some some hard to find iridium plugs for my MV Agusta a few years ago.

    Thanks, Brian! I'm going to contact BritCycle to inquire about becoming a dealer for them (even though my shop is exclusive German motorcycles).

    So...bottom line: Is the G63 the OE F40 spark plug? In a pinch, would an F-car dealership have access to them?

    g61=early f40 (without cats)
    g63=later f40 (with cats)

    about the Champion spark plug for the F40..., a few additional info's:

    engine F120A (basic version) = Champion RG2 PHP,

    engine F120D-EU (eu version with cat.)= Champion RG4 PHP.

    engine F120A/40 (us version) = Champion RG4 PHP.

    but if you used the car in a sporty way,on tracks,use the RG2 plugs.
