F40 Motorsports Visit

I'm vacationing on the east coast for a few weeks, so yesterday my brother and I drove his Corvette down to F40 Motorsports in Portland, Connecticut to check out the home of Chasing Classic Cars (Velocity Channel). When we arrived, I saw Wayne Carrini walking around the shop, followed by a film crew. My brother and I busied ourselves looking at some of the gorgeous cars in the showroom and on the lot, purchased a few t-shirts and eventually made our way over to the shop. Wayne came over and engaged us in a ten minute conversation about some adventures he had just completed in Colorado as well as his business and how he got started. He is a genuine guy who will stop and talk to anyone about his love of cars. I enjoyed listening to him describe the feeling of driving various makes and models along some of the most beautiful roadways in the world. So on the way back to Massachusetts, my brother and I put the top down on the Vette and avoided the congested freeways, opting instead for the still mostly green canopy covered back roads of New England. Not a bad way to spend a day...
