frankly i didnt try them in it. i guess the round one fits in the wheel well, and the others just pile in on top of it. the bags are almost nicer than the car !

So did you get them for show then? Cool either way.
Of course they're nicer than the car!! The F40 wasn't made for luxury!

Makes sense. I thought you would just keep them in the trunk but that doesn't make sense at all.

    The others have specific locations:

The soft suit-holder goes behind the passenger seat, and the angle-cut briefcase goes in the passenger foot-well.

The small item is for the books.

    Hope this helps.

thanks joe. i was in fact wondering how the puzzle fit together!
does the one for the passenger footwell then become the passenger's footrest? seems like it would scuffed doing that job.

Exactly. In the passenger footrest position, there is hardly any room for the passenger's feet! Italian optimism at its best.

Ross they shipped you the wrong luggage. They should have shipped you the luggage fitted for the Roller that follows with your luggage and the shoe carrier for your wife's shoes that can only fit in the FeEx truck.

Er, they didn't screw you out of the bag that's used to hold the yellow luggage covers when you're using your luggage, did they? Not a "full" set unless you have the bag cover bag.

And then there's the bag to hold...

Very nice. I've always loved the detail that went into the luggage of the F40.

I've always loved the hatbox. The whole set is seriously cool and ridiculously impractical. It just fits the car perfectly.

it LOOKS like a hatbox, but that is just the shape misleading you. it is a suitcase that happens to be round so that it maximizes the space in the wheel well.

the 512tr and 456mgt luggage sets both have this similar sized and shaped bag.

i do not yet have luggage for the bbi or the cs - although i dont think i need it for the cs - i dont do much cross country in that one anymore. the bbi is a different story but this time i will scour ebay and ferrariads before i call simone !

Well, taking the view of an F40 owner's wife or lady friend, it CAN be designated as a hatbox, in which case all is set for Ascot or Epsom :)

Sorry to sound so negative mate, but although they look great quality and are very nice as stand alone items, it is just a blatant Ferrari marketing ploy to sell overpriced luggage and nothing more than that. C'mon, the idea that you are going to use these for your "trips" is a bit crazy. Mainly because you're really not going to go with the wife on an around Europe trip in an F40 are you? I mean you'll use something much more practical and comfortable to do that, right? . The F40 is a racer, not a grand tourer. Let's not pretend. I'm sure you won't lose a sale when it comes to selling if the luggage are not there either....

Sorry to bang on. Just couldn't help myself.
Maybe I'm in a grumpy mood.......

well these are not made or sold by ferrari. they are made by schedoni, and on an old model like this there is 0 marketing pressure by anybody to buy them - it was completely my choice, and maybe it wasnt the greatest choice, but thats a matter of opinion i guess.

will i be touring much in the f40? unlikely. will i go to monaco for the tennis next year and take the wife? yes. will it be easier to make her accept the means of conveyance if she can have the big bag shown in the pics? yes.

i think you are just grumpy :)

This is a long shot but I have the round piece that goes in the front compartment. Looking for the piece that goes behind the passenger seat and the one in the foot well.

The monogram on the peice that I have is "G Brown".

Those two peices have to be sitting around somewhere.

Well your wife is a saint then. My wife wouldn't even consider getting into my F40 for any longer than half an hour! Its not only the fact that it's noisy, has a hard suspension, and the seats are not that comfy, but its also because she'll need to keep bracing herself every five minutes due to the fact that I'll be constantly using the available perfomance and thus scaring the bejesus out of her! Luggage or no luggage either...
Come to think of it I don't think I'd want to go all the way to Monaco in it either. At least not from London. But hey that's just me. Grumpy old so and so..... : )
