F40 in gear speed + ratios

So I'm playing the new GT5 Prologue game, and am playing with the GTR to get enough credits to buy the F40... I do, and it feels totally underwhelming.

I've had the pleasure of riding shotgun in Carsinxs' F40 while ripping through the gears.... and the speeds are nothing like the game.

So I look up the ratios... some site claims these... which is what is in use in the game.... but I keep thinking that it can't be right... are they?

the game uses an F40 that goes to 8000 rpm... so your doing 220mph in 4th gear.....
Did Sony royally screw up? Are they assuming the F40 has taller ratios? Are they assuming the F40 weighs 3600 lbs?

......

If they got the final drive wrong.... and the redline is 7750 instead of 7000.... this sounds closer to right
