    I recently saw this 355 Berlinetta. I was just looking at the pictures that I took, as I realized that the size of the tire is kind of strange. Doesn't the 355 come with 265 wide in the back? This car had the stock wheels, but they are 295 wide. Is it possible to fit 295s on a stock 355 wheel? Is it safe? Does it mess up the performace of the car?

    I have 295/35/18 on the rear of my 95 on stock rims. I also have a set of HRE wheels 10.5 rear and 9 fronts that have 255/35/18 fronts. No problem in rubbing and the rear are about the same diameter that the speedo will be accurate.Much better choice that the 265's. Car handles better with the wider rears.

    ETW - you sure can put the 295/35's on the rear of the 355s... There are a few older threads on this - here is one... There is another one somewhere (do a search) - that goes into a full analysis of all tires for the 355 - I can't remember the thread - but search on 355 tire - it would have been about 2 months ago.

    Do a search. I think there is a guy named Monty on this site that is extremely knowledgable about how tire size affects the supension. I bought my 355 and it has the michelin pilots on it in the wrong size. It is just slightly off in the rear and front and it affects the handling alot. I am waiting for them to wear some to put the originals back on.

    What's the widest you can go on the front of a 355? 265/35? And what sizes are the stock front and rear wheels?

    You can go 255/35/18 with no problem but not on stock wheels. I have a set of HRE's and use that size up front. The stock rims are 7.5 front and 10 rear I believe.
