    So which one is it?

Which one looks better. If everything is as planned and nothing crazy happens to my plans, then inshAllah I should have the 355 by Summer of 2013.

But, which color? I used to want to get red with tan interior. But the yellow has been looking appealing to me. I'm not a big fan of the black interior; but does anyone have pictures of a yellow 355 w/ different color interior other than black?

Here are some pics ... right now I'm leaning more towards yellow

I was in the exact situation except with the 348 model...I couldn't decide between a red one or a yellow one....in the end I settled on the yellow and am very happy with my decision.

You can't go wrong with either, it's a difficult decision yet be thankful you have such a dilemna ;):)....and InshAllah it works out for you ;)

Not a fan of the tan top, but a black top with tan interior .... I'd take that over red w/ tan interior any day!

Problem is, I've been looking at the 355 for quite some time now, and have NEVER seen a yellow w/ tan interior for sale.....let alone that it has to be a 6-speed, and have had the major done, pass the PPI .... man-o-man.

If anything, I'd have to switch out the black interior of a yellow 355 w/ the tan. I wonder how much that would cost....either way, that yellow w/ tan is breath-taking!

    I want it.

Do you guys think I'm looking for the impossible now?

Yellow 355, 6-speed, black top, tan interior, no histories, major done, and all that?

    I dunno...call me crazy.

Yes, crazy. How many spyders exist in that color combo? I would be suprised if it was more than 10.

Yeah, I'm thinking of switching the black interior w/ the tan. Any thoughts...how much, are the subcontractors out there that do that, etc?

Might be less trouble to source a red/tan one and repaint it yellow.

You could do a leatherique dye on the interior and make it any color you want. Upside is the absolute insane low cost (less than 200$) but you'd have to do it yourself. It's pretty easy with a hvlp spray gun. Downside is that it's pretty delicate and you have to be careful not to scratch it but you can always redo-it every 3-5 years and the interior will always look new.

I always dreamed of a yellow 355 until my wife talked me out of it by saying it was too flashy.

I then decided on white because it was different.

I later changed my mind and went with Red/tan combo (That's what happens when you do a google image search for "Ferrari 355" and all those beauties show up in red....)

However, I did Rosso Scuderia instead of Rosso Corsa. It's a little more orange and I love it.

I did a slight color change and went from Tan 3218 to 3228 on my 355 interior. To learn more about the leatherique process, check my thread here:

Here's a pic of rosso scuderia with Tan

    That looks really good.

I'm gonna have to look into the leatherique dye. I would do it if one of you F-Chatters came and helped! I'm a clumsy guy. The last thing I want is a yellow F355 w/ rainbow colored interior.

Decisions decisions...it is a buyers' market out there and if you're patient and follow the advice of all the helpful f-chatters, you'll pick up a very nice car. It is a good position to be in, hamdullah

Contemplating same Red vs Yellow myself... Swaying very hard to the yellow side.. (Even though I have a yellow / black car now)...

Re-dying the interior is probably the way to go. I have also seen some very impressive results. And I do really like the Yellow/Tan.. was just thinking about it myself and now here are the picts. There isn't 'that' much interior to take out... see if a local interior shop would work with you. Possibly recover the dash if in need... Hotrod shops can build an entire interior.. .recovering panels or just dying isn't as bad as you may think... and it will look new. You may be able to negotiate on a car that is mechanically stout (belt service done, new headers/exhaust and the 6spd you want) but needs an interior refreshening... if you know you are going to work on it anyway. (wouldn't have to be done first day you purchase the car either.)

Seems like the seat wear is all over the map on used 355s... some OK, some in need of help. I recently saw someone put a set of Tan Sparco Milano Prestige seats in a 355 and it looked perfect IMO. Also a bit more 'modern' look.

Best of luck in the hunt.

The f355 is about the only car that can pull off yellow, ever. Sportbikes can too.

I would go with whichever color has a Challenge grill and new valve guides :D
