    Hi,

Why do some F355's have the back panel in black and some are in red?

If 1998 or later, the original buyer may have specified the color selection via the Scaglietti option program. In other some other cases it's just Ferrari factory "variety". Just like some F355s with tan interiors have an all black dash area/console area and some (like mine) have a black upper with a tan lower and tan center console.

Most black back panels are the mesh-type challenge grills which is a very popular option for F355's.

Standard back panels are solid and in body color.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks guys.

Is it easy enough to get the standard body coloured one replaced with a black one?

    Easy to do? Expensive?

    I could do myself maybe?

No, really I wasn't. I though he was talking about the back interior panel. I guess I'm way too literal sometimes. If he had said back "grill" or asked why the "rear panel" was sometimes "body colored" or "black" then (maybe, just maybe, I would have got it). I guess it's an occupational hazard in my professions - read quickly, analyze, formulate answer/option, and PUKE IT OUT.

Well, at least I gave you all a good laugh. Mea culpa!!! DUH!!!!

P.S. I think my post beat that "lequious" or whatever the fuc_ his name was for MOST STUPID ANSWER TO A POST. Please PM me for my address where my award prize(s) can be sent. Thank you.

Thanks, L.C.! I'm really surprised that Robbie didn't PM me to "bust my balls", though. I guess I really deserve it with this one!

Well, you can remove yours and get it painted black? :D:D

Or you can remove yours and fit the challenge grill! :D:D

You can do it yourself. Daniel at Ricambi sells them, around US $1400 each + whatever freight will cost you. :):)
