I search globally. There's tons out there and more being listed almost daily. Just majority of them are Rosso Corsa on Tan which doesn't tickle my fancies haha
Can you post your sticker? Want to see what im missing. How many miles did it have when you bought it?
It was a stock, no potions Spider. Bottom line was $129,405 including gas guzzler and destination charges. 19,600 miles. Lot's of cars between $45k and $60k back then, spiders, coupes, GTS. Anything over $60k was a museum piece. Only thing approaching $100k was a low miles Fiorano. I put an additional $10k into mine it for a major and head work. Could have bought a 1999 F1 spider with 6,000 miles on it for $55k. That car was near perfect cosmetically. Had a deposit on it at $58k, but decided against it after the PPI. The dealer then offered it to me at $55k. Here is a shot of that one. Rosso Fiorano pearl. Back then people were talking about how rare GTBs were because out of 30 car listed for sale on cars dot com 20 would be spiders and only 10 GTBs. Of course, as you know, go to Europe and there about 50/50 even today. Image Unavailable, Please Login
11k miles, blue tdf, 99 k usd spider. Great price http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/22026e64 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If by "low" miles we're talking sub 10k, I don't think I've seen a manual GTB in the $50-60's. In any color.
Mine was 8300 miles GTB Extremely rare spec except for Carbon Seats. Sold for $138k late summer of 2019. I think car would push $160k now. I don’t think it is for sale and may never be?? But if it did sell, I think it would have to break $200k for current owner to move it. Due for a major winter 2022. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes and no...I'm not searching outside of North America only because theres very little to pick from here...but more specifically very very few cars in the US/Canada were optioned uniquely. There's tons of nice spec cars in Asia/Europe. Not sure why that is...maybe the dealer network in the 90s didn't have the best communication with the motherland as to what could be optioned?
Haha yeah I'm not really sure what that car is worth but all things considered the price doesn't really seem out of line to me.
Not sure on import duties etc, but might be worth looking in the Uk as well. There are a number of US imports over here and in general they are very cheap in comparison to Uk original cars. That said, I’m not sure on relative baseline price between North America and uk!
I keep an eye on UK market as well nothing LHD that's tickled my fancies theres been a few stunning RHD cars though that got my hopes up until I saw the interior pics haha
it really is interesting watching the Euro market for 355s. I'm always surprised at how many more there seem to be and the diversity of colors.
Mine had 13600 miles on it, mechanically it was sound but it was left parked outside for a while and took a "cosmetic" beating under the sun. It was also green which did not help but I got it for 34k in 2011
