there are lots of used arcade auctions, but i would first call some of the companies in you area that lease them to the malls and arcades. They'll give you the best leads. I think they where about 50K new, so they might not be cheap.
I remember seeing one on ebay a couple of years ago. It was the big 3 screen version and IIRC had an opening bid of $25K. Dave
I played that for the first time this summer and absouletly had to have it, but i dont have that kind of dough at the momment.
An arcade in Dallas had one for sale about 2 years ago. I think it sold for $12,500. I'd call GAMEWORKS or a vending supplier to see if anyone has one hidden away in a warehouse.

OMG i play that game all the time! They have it here at GameWorks and the New York-New York Arcade. When are they going to come out with a 360 Challenge game? Now that is gonna be sweet!
Here ya go. http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/machines/driving-riding_games/Ferrari_355_Challenge_%28DX%29_678.html I have no connections with this company, don't know anything about them other than they came up on a google search. There's a bunch more available too, including 2 player units and a sequel (?!) with "improved controls and more tracks" http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/machines/driving-riding_games/?max=128&alpha=&at=25&page=0
WOW! $6K seems quite a bargain compared to what they used to go for. Of course the game is 5-6 years old and considered a dinosaur compared to todays games. That's good for us Tifosi! By next year they should be down to the cost of a tubi! LOL! Dave
Eric, I have contact with the guys in Japan. Shipping is high but they will work on a quote for a container for me and we can see if we get this lower by importing 2 or 3 games. Anyone else interested? Maybe I should start a new thread. ?!?!
make sure you get the "F355 Challenge 2 International Course Edition" It adds another 5 new courses: FIORANO、LAGUNA-SECA、SEPANG、NURBURGRING、ATLANTA. This F355 Challenge 2 Arcade came out in 2001. http://www.sega-am2.co.jp/f355/jp/arcade/f355_2.html
The Sega Dreamcast and Sony Playstation2 console versions of the F355 Challenge game have all the tracks from the F355 Challenge 2 International Edition. The red logigtech Momo force wheel(usb) works great with the PS2. The folks at my local Dave and Busters said the 2nd gen sit down arcade goes for around 5k. I need a larger garage so I can fit 2 in for head to head competition with friends
Interestingly enough, the arcade version and the Dreamcast are based on the same family of hardware. Other than the immersive effect and the triple screens, you lose little in gameplay with the Dreamcast home version. I bought a Dreamcast setup specifically to play this game. For under $100 you can get a Dreamcast, a wheel/pedal combo, and the game. Not as cool as the arcade game, but still fun.
i played 355 challenge arcade game in ft lauderdale arcade 2 yrs ago and was as much fun as real track driving without any risks. fantastic. also just saw ad in frontgate domain catalog for similar type game but only has 1 screen and is over $15k and doesnt even feature f cars.
I love 355 and I'm so crazy about this game so much that I told myself when I get the three screen cabinet I will wear a full suit, helmet, and cram like one or two small electric space heaters in the cabinet to simulate the heat.
