    morning mates,

on Bridgestone.com the Expedia's aren't featured anymore. But we can still order Expedia S-01 via tire dealers.
Also promising seems to be the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A. Even the Enzo is rolling on these rubbers. ;)
I think 'Potenza' is the future and the produktion of Expedia's will stop soon or later.

I was always happy with my Expedia's. Who can tell the Potenza RE050A is better on a 355? ;)
    Anyone tested both?

    thanks,

    cinque

I had a tire guy recommend the Bridgestone Potenza SO2--You can get it in a bigger size also..Never had them , but may be worth a look at...

The last set of tires that I had on my F355 were Bridgestone Potenza RE050As. They were good tires, but they seemed a little hard even after getting warm. Since then I have put on a set of Bridgestone Potenza S-02 Pole Positions on my Ferrari, and I am extremely happy with them! The S-02s are super soft and amazingly grippy after getting warmed up. They are a confidence inspiring tire. Bridgestone has stopped making the S-02 Pole Position, and from what I heard, the reason that they stopped making the S-02 was because the tread compound was so soft that they were having issues with the tires wearing out too fast. So S-02s are somewhat hard to find in the sizes that will fit a stock 355 rim. I bought mine online at www.roadway-tire.com. I upsized on the rears running 295/35/ZR18 with no spacers and they fit just fine.

o.k., S-02 softer than RE050A. Where can we put the Expedia S-01 in that ranking?
Thing is, wanna stick with Front: 225/40 R18 Rear: 265/40 R18 for many good reasons. ;)

    I like the Falken Azenis RT615. Available from www.edgeracing for $120 (front 225/40-18) and $205 (rear 275/35-18)
I'd recommend the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R, but I don't think they make a saize that fits the rear.

Today they offer 4 different Potenza types:

    Potenza RE050 (my fav)
    Potenza RE720
    Potenza RE040
Potenza S-03 Pole Position (only 265/40 R17 listed)

Potenza RE-01R not visible on the Glitchstone site :(

I found rolling resistance much higher with Bridgestones than Pirellis.

Just put Michelin PS2's on my 355 this past weekend and so far love them. A lot quieter than the Pirelli's that were on it, and seem just a bit softer riding. Grip seems same. Time will tell on the wear of the new treads.

Me too, though I run them around 30 psi. I have found them to be a good road tire.

Was considering the "Michelin Pilot Sport Cup", but you can't get them in 225/40 R18 Rear: 265/40 R18.
The normal "Michelin Pilot Sport 2"" is available in 225/40 R18 and 265/40 R18.
According to allround test results in mags the Bridgestone RE050 is better than Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. (ADAC i.e.)
Michelin is loosing under wet conditions while Bridgestone is always very good.

    Dry:
    Michelin got a 1,0
    Bridgestone a 1,1

    Wet:
    Michelin 2,2
    Bridgestone 1,8 (overall winner)

Anybody considering the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric? Anyone use them? Tire Rack data shows similar to PS2s or Bridgestones.

Goodyear used to make a tyre called "Eagle Fiorano" for the F355 which was very sticky and highly recommended.
Since they don't produce it anymore, let's focus on the bestsellers and testwinners.

As for "Michelin Pilot Sport Cup" you can't get stock size, I was recalculating options from /35 series: 245/35 R18 Rear: 285/35 R18

    Results
    each rubber 2 cm wider

    front
    ground clearance: - 0,4 cm
    Tacho signal 101 km/h instead 100 km/h

    rear
    ground clearance - 0,6 cm
    Tacho signal 102 km/h instead 100 km/h

So you can need other spacers, ground clearance adjustments and maybe the alignement adapted after your testrides. Hmmm.

I have RE050A on my 355 wheels and love them. Quiet, grippy, good feedback and reasonably cheap $1000 for all 4

The reason I asked was that I saw a few posts some months ago on Fchat in which owners were very impressed with the Goodyears. Any other actual owners who can comment? PS - not trying to hijack your thread.

Tirerack seems to think that the Goodyear GS-D3 is the best tire in the Max performance category.

I have them, love them, sticky and long(ish) lasting. Pricing is good compared to others. Have had Bridgestone SO3 Pole Positions and RE050s, like the Goodyears better.
