355 F355 black line on the body !!!!

They all have the black body line from factory.

 

If it doesn't have it, that means it's been repainted.

 

It's a good sign it's had paint work and they got lazy.

Looks like it's unavailable at most parts houses now.

 

OP, I’m in the process of sourcing the best option, and I’ll let you know when I discover. The 3M tape I knew of is currently NLA.

The factory stuff is dull so semi gloss or matte don't get high gloss black.

Do black cars have a matte black line too?

I had my car repainted this year. This line is simple, just go on Amazon and buy 1/4" matte black pinstripe tape (vinyl), it's like $6 for 10ft roll from Vivid.

Takes about 20 mins to cut it, stick it on straight, etc. It's one of those cheap, easy finishing touches that shouldn't be skipped after a paint job.

 

Don't know about black cars. Not a fan of black.

We sail out of Branford CT, put it on autopilot until we hit Long Island and then turn around, though I don't get down to go out with him that much anymore just for that reason.

Rather be out in the 355 on a warm, sunny day with the top down. Lots of nice roads in NE and NW CT.

About the same size as the Laser. A lot to handle for one person with that jib and spinnaker.

My Laser is a 1971 prototype; the 255th boat made.

 

I think it stands out enough.

 

With just about every panel on my car damaged and repaired when it raced, the Factory-authorized coachwork center my car was sent to was careful to replace the matte black striping...
