Hi all, I have posted before in the 550 forum about that car specifically. Though I really like that car the F12 is probably my dream Ferrari that’s semi affordable. Looking at prices on the current market they seem to start at around £150k on auto trader etc. Though on collecting cars they little less at around £120k and are a lot more appealing but there are fees associated. With the 812 replacement on its way do you think the prices will come down any further ? And is there any wiggle room for discount at the current prices ?

    thank you

Bottom feeding in the F12 world is a very risky game. Good luck.

Taking out seasonal variations, F12 prices have been very stable. The spread of asking prices is all over the place but generally in the range of 130-ish for a CC car with dodgy history and no warranty, 150-ish for a reasonable dealer car with higher miles, and 170+ for a low miles perfect main dealer car. Some are still asking over £200k for ultra low miles. Could that change? I doubt there will be much more movement. Prices are being held up by a lot of factors. Last pininfarina designed Ferrari, beautiful design, hydraulic steering, mega soundtrack, no gpf, etc.

The new model is going to cost £400-500k with options and won’t be available for at least 1-2 years, so short term it won’t push prices down, but perversely could cause prices to go up as it will make the F12 an even more compelling bargain.

812 prices have a long way to fall and some will argue that that could impact F12 prices, but I see little evidence of this and if anything, in the fullness of time, I expect F12s to be worth more than 812s (GTS excepted as that’s a different proposition).

Thank you so much for your help, do you think there is any room for negotiation for the cars at £150k? I think you are correct about buying the cheapest F12 maybe a very expensive ownership

I agree with most of your comments, but put on your helmet, prepare to take some slack from the 812 Fan Club.. I posted a year back that when F167 is shown to world, and looks like the natural design progression of F12, I said 812 would be like the middle child, ooh la la, but all in good jest. We all wear rose tinted glasses, looks are in the eye of the beholder and we all want our cars to drive a certain way. Where I would disagree is that on 812 Values I don’t see much falling, I think 812 Coupes, especially 2018/2019 pre gpf will stay at £215/£225 and hold and then who knows what happens to values of F12 812 SF after F167 price is public knowledge. I don’t see 812 GTS values holding at all in UK, they are 60k to 70k over where they should be, they should be in the 50k above 812 SF club, produced way more than was expected, and certainly the F167 will be in FHT/GTS format.. full disclosure I have a F12, could have bought an 812 but still doesn’t look right to me from the back and didnt want RWS gizmos, but will have a F167 production slot within first 6 months of WW production, but, loving this F12 driving experience so much F167 will have to be something out the park to justify selling the F12. On top of that, F12 is all the last of you mentioned, but also there is no convertible GTS option to distort the market prices and numbers. Supposedly only 410 UK F12’s which compares with 330 UK Speciales, so either F12 is rarer than people think or Speciales are not so rare in UK. Anyway digressing, F12 812 F167 all amazing V12 Ferraris, we are all lucky boys & girls and the rest…

The launch of F167 will affect 812 values but not F12 values.

Yes. No one should pay the asking price for any high value asset in life. There is always a deal to be done- whether that involves an asking price reduction, throwing in other value adds (eg warranty) or other factors.
