I'll take a swing here. I feel like F12 prices have stabilized, however, they are generally higher now than the period around when Covid first became a thing. FWIW, my local dealer said they can't keep an F12 when they get one, but that may be a regional thing. I'd say, go find the one you want, see if you can pay what you're comfortable with or close to it and go enjoy the beast.

I agree with the above. I bought a 2014 with 6500 miles red/tan for $205 before covid - similar cars were selling for $250+ during covid years (dealer price) and now are down around $220k or so. Seems like a good time to buy. FYI, my dealer has asked me several times if I want to sell as they have buyers

I don't think it is a bad time to buy, as said the last bottom was pre-COVID and we're not even back to that bottom yet. It has been headed back there, but toss up if flat now, will go to where it was, or go below where it was 2020. It isn't an investment car minus the TdF, but will always trade relative to other mass produced Ferraris like 550/575, 812, and 458.

I previously owned a 2017 Rosso Fiorano F12 that I regretted selling the moment the ink dried on the contract.

Currently own a 812GTS. The GTS is, by any mechanical measure, a superior vehicle.

    HOWEVER...owning a GTS hasn't stopped me from...nearly daily...checking available F12 inventory.

If a great spec F12 pops up...I will most certainly add it to my garage.

The F12, as others have said, will never be "collectible" due to production numbers. HOWEVER, for some percentage of us, a collection is NOT complete without an F12.

The F12 just pushes so many intangible buttons.

the rarity of the F12 is not common knowledge. while not a limited series it was far less produced than the 812 with a general consensus of around 5000 worldwide. USA gets roughly 1/3 allocation and there you have a pretty rare NA V12 that looks better than the 2 generations before and the 2 after.

It’s even rarer than you suggest. I estimated 4657 based on annual report data but @day355 confirmed it was closer to 4,300 with only 1,500 Coming to America.

See here for the full run-down.

Exactly it’s closer to 4600 WW than 5000, UK received 420 cars, UK country allocation is 9% to 10% so 4600 WW stakes up. It is rarer than people think, especially when you consider 335 Speciales came to UK.

I recently got one with the spec I wanted, interior and exterior carbon, front lift, alcantara seats with head stitching, front back camera etc.
The car is awesome. Key things to inspect are leaking tranny, you can google Getrag tranny issues. Make sure you flush the fluid once you get the car even no leakage.
My car has emission issues where I found out the Charcoal canister is toasted leaking charcoal everywhere.
Lastly, make sure to inspect the brake calipers since mine has brake fluid residue which eats away the paint on the calipers.

I guess this thread better than any to keep a trend of the market. I will do an Autotrader search periodically. I think key the total available plus a good metric is number of asks below $200k and $225k.

    Autotrader:

    29 available.
    2 <$200k
    4 < $225k

Funny how those keys have a habit of getting lost. Why hasn't the vehicle ever had an annual in its 8-year history though.

As 812s plummet I think 200-225 is probably where most will settle. With 15k plus mi cars going into 175k.

For data: I just sold my near perfect (all sticky buttons corrected even if not needed) 2013 BLK/ BLK (yellow stitching) $400K MSRP 9200 mile F12 for $237K. Maybe I sold it a little cheap as it did sell very fast. I loved the car. More beautiful than an 812. But I drove an 812 GTS and I had to have one.

If you own an F12- DON’T drive an 812.

I purchased this 2017 F12 a year ago....the owner who sold it to me upgraded to a brand new 812 GTS.....he drove the GTS for 3 months and decided to sell it. Why? Because he felt the F12 looked better (thank you Pininfarina) and the F12 was a more raw, visceral driving experience than the modern (numb) 812. To each their own but newer is not always better....especially with Ferraris.
