Tailor made or limited series aren t enough for SM profits,so he would like to have so much sales. It s impossible with only the currents cars. Actually,delays remain artificials,cars produced since many months are stocked somewhere in the factory. SM is just a businessman,not a sentimentalist. He don t care about history,limited production to increase desire...He just want to sell and produce more !!!

Decreasing production of the Cali allows Ferrari to put out as many Specials as possible. 500 less Cali's is 500 more Specials where they are making high margins (Specials are unlimited production). Could also be enough room for more Special A's as Ferrari always makes more beyond target.
10,000 units is the limit after which Ferrari will be limited by much harsher emission standards. Sergio might be a prick but his boss is not that stupid.
