The last time I changed tires on my F12 was before the pandemic and at the time I purchased the Michelins Pilot Super Sport specific for this model with the Ferrari letter on them. At the time someone here gave me the exact specifications of the Michelin front and rear tires but I can't retrieve that information.
Since I have to put four new tires I wonder If anyone could give me the Michelin references of the specific tires for the F12 Berlinetta or eventually, recommend a newer Michelin tire that performs even better.

Hi Mario, this is what TireRack comes back with:

    https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?tireIndex=2&autoMake=Ferrari&autoYear=2017&autoModel=F12berlinetta&autoModClar=Standard+tires&frontWidth=255%2F&frontRatio=35&frontDiameter=20&frontSortCode=59900&rearWidth=305%2F&rearRatio=35&rearDiameter=20&rearSortCode=60150&performance=ALL

In case you cant access the website due to location they are suggesting the following:

    Front
    Size: 255/35ZR20 (97Y) XL
    Style: Blackwall
    Eco Focus: Michelin Total Performance
Load Range: XLMore information on Load Range
Serv. Desc: (97Y)More information on Service Description
    UTQG: 300 AA A

    Rear
    Size: 305/35ZR20 (104Y)
    Style: Blackwall
    Eco Focus: Michelin Total Performance
Serv. Desc: (104Y)More information on Service Description
    UTQG: 300 AA A

I note they also had a choice for rear in 315 width- but I believe the F12b uses 305 rear tires (its been a while so maybe I am wrong?).

These are not Ferrari “K” spec tires, they seem to be the standard 4S spec- but I’ve found in general the next generation of tires tends to be better than the special OEM spec. The MPSS tires first appeared on a Ferrari on the 2011 599 GTO. So the technology in the MPSS is at least 11 years old. Whereas the 4S first really were coming out I think in 2016/17? And just about everyone has had the same feeling about these tires- they are excellent. So I would go with the 4S.

However, if you want something else, TireRack is also recommending:

    Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02
    Front:

    Size: 255/35ZR20 97Y XL
    Style: Blackwall
Load Range: XLMore information on Load Range
Serv. Desc: 97YMore information on Service Description
    UTQG: 340 AA A

    Rear:

    Size: 305/35ZR20 104Y
    Style: Blackwall
Serv. Desc: 104YMore information on Service Description
    UTQG: 340 AA A

I don’t know much about these tires- but I recall there being a Continental sports tire that has compared very favorably with the Michelin, but I am not really sure if its this one. I’ve had Continental tires on other vehicles over the years and I’ve generally been pleased with them. But thats usually SUVs.. Probably worth researching

    They also list

    Pirelli PZero PZ4

Note the front are available in both Alpina and standard sport-
    Size: 255/35ZR20 (97Y) XL
    ALP Alpina, Sport
    Style: Blackwall
Load Range: XLMore information on Load Range
Serv. Desc: (97Y)More information on Service Description
    UTQG: 280 AA A

    Rear
    Size: 305/35ZR20 (107Y) XL
    Sport
    Style: Blackwall
Load Range: XLMore information on Load Range
Serv. Desc: (107Y)More information on Service Description

I think the Pirelli PZ4 are also a great choice- in general I think they have closed the gap to the Michelin but I tend to still prefer the Michelin. I think the Pirelli is a little better at resisting overheating at a track day- maybe its worth an extra lap depending on the track- before they over heat- I find the Michelin tend to give me about 3 laps before they begin to get greasy. But Im not doing many track days right now. And the Pirelli also has a bit of a stiffer sidewall which some might prefer the feel and also they might be a little bit better with resisting getting pinched by breaks in the road/ potholes.

But overall I am still more in the Michelin 4S tire camp. It is a really great tire.

MDEl, here is the exact setup you will want to go with.

    Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

    Front : 265/35/20 non K spec

    Rear : 315/35/20 K spec.

This is what I went with on my F12 and couldn't have made a better decision.

There is a thread somewhere on this forum that goes into extensive detail about this sizing etc.

Jerry, thank you for the information and I'm following your advice and this time I'll go for the MPS 4S .
The MPSS I have now where put in 2020 before the pandemic and their condition was pretty good until last year when I went to a Ferrari track day at Estoril in-between the GT Open races. The weather was hot, the grip very good but the tires reached temperatures of 90ºC and the rubber got really soft. During a recent inspection at my Ferrari dealer they mentioned the rear tires are still fine but the front ones have some wear on the inside therefor I'll have to change the four.

In 2018 my F12 was equipped with the Pirelli P Zero but after a frightening episode I changed the four tires by the MPSS. I immediately noticed a big difference in grip and also much less vibration at high speed. As you mentioned, I've also heard that Pirelli now has closed the gap with the the Zero to the MPS 4S.

For the MPPS front tires the specification is 255/35 with the Ferrari reference but for the MPS 4S is the 265/35. Do you know what's the reason for this?

I think he is suggesting a spec that gives you just a touch more tire width at both front and rear. As long as you know this wont throw off the traction computer, and will fit the stock wheels and not rub, I would think you will be fine. And you are getting his real experience, I think this sounds like a nice setup. A lot of times the difference of 10mm of tire width is really minor.

Also good for you to enjoy the F12 at the track- this is the best place to be able to experience the entire rev range for longer periods.

The 255s are too narrow in the front with the MPS4S, I believe this is because they are non K spec as they don't make a K spec for 255 or 265. The 255 OEM pz are K spec which has more with that a standard 255.

Here is the thread that goes more in depth on all this info

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/michelin-pilot-sport-4s-for-stock-f12-size-help.651480/page-2#post-148291004

By the way I've seen a F12 in person with the MPS4S 255s ip front in person and there tire was definitely too narrow, it looked awkward and the wheel stuck out slightly further than the rubber.

Looks like I’m getting another new pair of 4S rears on Monday… nothing like losing $1,000 out of the blue because some ******* left debris on the road.

You can't get the MPSS anymore here. There is also talk that the 4S is at its end of the cycle soon.

My dealer would not fit the 265s out front because not OEM spec, go figure. Just be aware.

All my street cars since the Pilot 4S came out (and basically replaced the MPSS) have that tire on it. Best street tire out there for all purpose usage.

To confirm F12HT here is the too narrow PS4S 255 on my F12, 'first time I hope for tires to wear out quickly!
As said Montegoblue my dealer didn't want to mount the 265s on.

I've had the new Michelins Pilot Sport 4S on my F12 for nearly 1 month (Front : 265/35/20 , Rear : 315/35/20 both non K spec.)
Thank you for the advice given here and I'm very happy with the result. With the PS 4S I noticed straight away an improvement in grip and less vibration when compared with the previous MPSS. :)

I wouldn't want it to fail during a power slide though... plugging the rear tire on a Camry is NBD but on something this big, I can't take such risks.
