    Notice when motorcycle riders approach a braking point they come out of their crouch and sit straight up. That's an air brake and quite effective.

    But you conveniently don't mention that the F1 cars are 30s a lap faster ;) The bikes are also 10s a lap slower then the F3 cars.

    Highest top speed is 356.7km/h by Dovizioso on the Ducati (2019 practice).

    (only doing 346 in vid)

    I was only talking about top speed. For me (as a former biker) it is incomprehensible how anybody can go that fast on a bike. In a car yes, but on a bike?

    It must take some guts, for sure, to go beyond 150/180 mph on a bike, and it needs a special technique to stay on, as well.
    I don't think I went above 125 mph on an autobahn, and I was fighting not to get lifted off the saddle !!
    I know GP riders have fairing designed for high speed, but even then.

    You probably know that the fastst guy on an open bike (as opposed to a steamliner) passed away after a crash at Bonneville recently.
    He held the world record for open bike at ... 297 mph average over the timed mile (they do both way) on a dry lake in Bolivia.
    On one run, he reached the average of 304 mph over the mile , but couldn't back it up on the return !!

    Guts, not so much::
    What it takes to stay alive is to never let the bike get in front of you.
    Miss a corner by a couple of milliseconds at 150 MPH and you are in the wrong lane. Miss by 5 milliseconds and you are off the other side of the road {and likely dead}

    It also takes incredibly strong neck muscles! Pushing your head forward into hundreds of pounds of air drag on your helmet.
