It’s brought the field closer together. Stroll, Vettel and Bottas not looking too great today. Hamilton has been able to adjust quicker.
True but Max admits a mistake. The interesting part is what strategy options will employ RedBull. Max must have a clean start and avoid issues, save his tires and extend when Sergio must pit a bit earlier.
Hamilton still has some speed left in him! This qualy validates that Redbull is still ahead of Merc currently.
Max is probably thinking he has a real fight again with a team-mate in Sergio. Like he did with Ricci. It should be interesting for both. The wisdom is Max has this covered. I think its a bit early to feel such things. Sergio is a good driver.
I think Max is hearing the chatter about this being “Hamilton v Max” for the title and that can become a burden. Needs to just be himself.
Confidence is a hell of a drug. Its a mental boost for Perez to out qualify Max and gain confidence to challenge this season.
LOL!! Has to be painful. That no top team wanted him should have been enough to leave......peacefully.
The question is how consistent can Sergio be over the long season. That really is the 'pressure'. Keep yielding the good results.
Good point. Also no one has a real picture of what Sergio can bring with a true winning car. He may yet surprise alot of people if he can really gain the best of the car. We do not know this at all. His history in quick and decent cars is good. Now he has a real chance with a fairly sorted car. He was very very confident on camera saying he should have been on pole. Yes he was on the soft. His talent via tire management will be needed now at its most effective.
You would like that do you? Just like Merc and Ham likes to tell everyone they are the underdog while still being at the front. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met FerrariChat
Sergio has been a very consistent performer and (I believe) the best performer the second part of last season. He’s still adjusting to the Red Bull but gets on the front row today. Red Bull has something brewing now. I don’t know what happens between he and Max...different styles of drivers. He won’t “beat” Max, but he could out-score him (if you get my drift)
