    Hey Guys,
Went for a drive today and the light for the transmission came on. It goes on and beeps then goes away and as i was driving home it didnt do it anymore.
Also i noticed the radio went out couple times and says “control device missing”

i switched the tail lights on friday to the morimotos because i had a broken light.

Trans felt fine while i was driving. Didnt get stuck in any gear and felt normal.
Do you think the tail lights have something to do with it?
    TIA

Stranger things have happened, but is it likely? I don't know. Looking at the wiring diagrams, the reverse light circuits are tied to both the F1 system and the radio. The F1 system activates the coil of the reversing relay "PSR2" and also sends a signal to the radio, but the reversing lights themselves are isolated from the F1 wiring. Do your reverse lights still work? If there was some kind of short in the relay coil wiring or the radio, it might be sensed by the F1 TCU. But whether it would generate a fault light for this kind of fault, I don't know.

The F1 system can be affected by the brake lights, but usually only if they short out and blow the brake fuse.

Do both your reverse and brake lights still work?

You need to check f1 fluid to make sure its not low just in case. You recall if you were doing anything near the f1 pump after you took off the side small engine bay panels to get to the tail lights?

F1 lights usually means a bad reading from potentiometers or a very low voltage - i would monitor that
