F-Chat Top Ten Super Cars of all time list since everybody had problems with the top ten poll posted and wanted to list their own top ten, i am starting a thread to list your personal favorite all time top ten supercar list rules -no tuner cars! (barabus, dinan . . . . ) -derivatives should be entered as the original (mc12 or fxx, should be an enzo) but this will be left up to your own discretion. -whether or not you want to list milestone / historically significant cars or just the latest in performance technology will also be left up to your own discretion. -ten cars only (a two car tie should be counted as two and not one) -july 4 i will compile a top super car list based on votes including all cars voted on in posts. no. 1 would receive 10 points down to no. 10 receiving 1 point. just for fun suggestions welcome! best jeff

1. bugatti veyron 2. ferari f50 3. maserati mc12 4. ferrari f40 5. 288 gto 6. lamborghini muira 7. lamborghini diablo 8. ferrari enzo 9. bugatti eb110 10. noble m12
1. McLaren F1 (street LM package of course) 2. Porsche GT1 3. Mercedes CLK-GTR (the "special" one with over 1100 hp). 4. Porsche 962C (not the tuner versions, but the three streetcars that the Porsche factory rebuilt for special customers) 5. Ferrari Enzo with FXX street package (recently sighted) 6. Ferrari 250 GTO (maybe the only true supercar of all time?) 7. Maybach Excelero (rumor is that several are under construction) 8. Ford RS200 Evolution (fastest 0-60 ever achieved by homologated street car? - 2.6 seconds) 9. Bugatti Veyron ( it's nice to see a big manufacturer be so brave/stupid). 10. Lamborghini Miura in period lime green Total cost to amass this collection? ~$20m might do it over a period of a few years with several experts on the hunt.
1.- Ferrari Enzo 2.- Bugatti Veyron 3.- Porsche 959 Clubsport 4.- Ferrari 250 GTO 5.- Lamborghini Miura 6.- Maserati MC12 7.- Porsche GT1 8.- Lamborghini Countach 9.- Mercedes 300 Gullwing 10.- Ford GT40

1-F40 (The first true "supercar", still the best for driving experience.) 2-F1 3-Enzo 4-959 5-CCX 6-F50 7-EB110 SS 8-XJ220 9-Zonda F Clubsport 10-288 GTO The fact that some don't have the F40 on their lists is laughable IMO. Also, top five would have better suited things, with 10 choices people tend to pick cars just to fill the list IMO.
1. mclaren f1 2. porsche carrera gt 3. ferrari enzo 4. pagani zonda f 5. ferrari f40 6. lamborghini miura 7. ferrari f50 8. porsche gt1 9. ferrari daytona 10. porsche 959
It made my life much easier - very few of the modern super-cars really stretch the envelope as far as I can tell - if it means disqualification so be it 1 - McLaren F1 2 - Ford GT40 3 - Porsche 959 4 - Ferrari F40 5 - Lamborghini Miura
no disqualification! top five will be counted like everyone elses top five! it's just for fun! 10 points for no.1 down to 6 points for no.5 you can make any number of pics from one to ten. if you pick over ten, only the first ten will be counted btw, i agree five picks would be better, but last time i did a poll i made it five picks and got quick complaints about not allowing enough! best jeff
1. McLaren F1 (my arguments: V12, the ultimate road car for the whole family, 3 seats - one in the front middle for the pilot/daddy and two in the back for the wife and one kid, limited edition with only 64 for the street use, it was the fastest production car ever build for 11 years in a row with 386,4km/h, 0-60mph in 3.1 s and the world's most expensive supercar $1M - until surpassed by Veyron in 2005). 2. Bugatti EB110 Super Sport (my arguments: V12, 600HP - there are some in the market with 751HP, limited edition street car, 352km/h, 0-62mph in 3.2 s - almost the same performance like the McLaren F1, not too much expensive - $350,000, the complicated mechanism of the doors, unique blue color) 3. Ferrari F40 (my arguments: the last supercar made before the death of Mr. Enzo Ferrari, I like it has hidden front headlights - I don't know the term in English, it's one of the most eye catching cars in the world, 470HP and 2.9l engine, some buyers were reported as paying as much of $1.6M in that time for one of these beauties, 1315 cars had been sold; now I am glad that in the next few years I could have the chance to own one for under $150,000). 4. Ferrari F50 (my arguments: most of the F40 qualities + it is a V12 convertible car and its engine could be tuned to generate around 750HP). 5. Bugatti Veyron (my arguments: 1001HP, limited edition and it has most of the McLaren F1 qualities up-to-dated for 2006 + it has the scary look like the car from the 101 Dalmatians movie + it is a car good for Batman). 6. Ferrari Enzo (my arguments: for the people which already own one F40 and one F50, it's the perfect car for reaching the ultimate fantasy on Earth). I'm sure these lucky owners have the chance to talk with Mr. Enzo Ferrari at least once per year when they are sleeping. 7. Ferrari 288 GTO (my arguments: the classy supercar) 8. Mercedes-Benz SLR (my arguments: Mercedes + Bugatti + Marylin Monroe - all together). 9. Porsche 917 (my arguments: the car that gave Porsche the first overall wins at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1970 and 1971, 394km/h and 0-60 mph in 2,5 s, the turbocharged version 917/30 developed over 1100HP - in 1973!!!). It's a "don't try this at home" car. 10. Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing (my arguments: imagine that you drive an 2005 SLR on the roads of Germany in 1954 - that's only a few years after the World War 2). ..just my $0.02 Best wishes, Andy
1) McLaren F1 2) F40 3) Dauer 962 4) Carrera GT 5) 333 sp 6) Enzo 7) Aston Martin DB5 8) 288 GTO 9) 333 sp 10) XJ220
1. McLaren F1 - clearly the greatest supercar so far 2. F40 - Enzo's last hurrah 3. Carrera GT - Porsche's great gamble with a LM race chassis and engine that created a great modern supercar 4. F50 - True application of Formula 1 engineering in a road car 5. Mercedes 300SL Gullwing - a great race car that was miles ahead of any competition in its era 6. Ford GT40 - born out of Henry Ford's unquenchable need to beat Enzo at his game 7. 250 GTO - Dominated racing and you drove it home after the race 8. 288GTO - broke the mold of what a supercar was considered to be 9. Porsche 959 - pushed the technology envelope way beyond anyone's idea of what was possible 10. Bentley Speed 8 - A great beast of a machine that ran over everything in its path These are the cars I would love to accumulate in a permanent collection for future generations to appreciate.
Under $150,000 huh? Good, VERY, good luck with that hunt.... You might need to add a little spare change to that lol....
