Exoticar when bankrupt - I was not a fan when they were in business because they would sell stuff they clearly didn't stock and then it would be a massive PITA to get them to refund. Multiple phone calls etc.

I can only hope that these guys are not the same, otherwise I would not expect the leopard to have changed.

    Same owner - Peter T.

He also has had quite a few full scale Ferraris including 355, 360, 430, 599 and F40.

They do have a nice selection of models at the store. Prob better to stop by and purchase there instead of ordering online.

I'll ditto Dan's sentiments. If you're looking for great quality stuff, check out Cavallino Collection....

This is intresting as I was planning to head up there soon. They don't mention anything on their site.

Wow, this is news to me. I do see that their website Exoticar.com is now called Hollywood Model Car.com.

I side with Dan360. I was much too patient with this retailer and now I'm out $100 for a model that Exoticar advertised as "in stock" and was sold out every where else. If you look at their sales policy, it states that they won't charge your card until the items are ready for shipment. This is an empty promise, much like their continued promises to me that the car I ordered was scheduled to arrive in the next few weeks. When I'd had enough and asked for my money back I was given meaningless transaction numbers, but never saw the credit. Foolishly on my part this dragged out so long I missed my chance to file a credit card dispute.

I buy a lot of die cast and only went to Exoticar because I was greedy for a model I knew was sold out everywhere else. I've had much better luck on eBay, but if you want to deal with an established die cast retailer that has a much better selection and integrity, I suggest trying replicarz.com.
