    Hello everyone,

I have been dredging through google trying to find a high end car / exotic car rental company that does business in the Outer banks NC. I just sched 2 weeks in salvo / Rodanthe area in late July.

Would someone be able to point me in the right direction ?

    Thanks!

I think the most exotic rental down there would be a jeep. I do not think there is an exotic car rental co. in NC , maybe Charlotte.
Enjoy your stay . It is nice down on that part of OBX.

there was an exotic car rental place in Charlotte up to about a year ago, but I think they are now limited to track or autocross due to insurance issues. This is the website, but it now says that they are closed, sorry I don't anymore than that.

I would try these guys. Probably your best shot for that area without having an "in".

They're based in Miami but have locations along the east coast including Atlanta.
Fchat user "Mred" used to have his business out of Atlanta and he was pretty flexible the time or two that I talked with him about it. He got out of it in 2010 but sold it to the Prestige guys.

Not a lot of chance to go fast on most of the Outer Banks. Way too much traffic.

Back in the day- late 80's - up in Currituck County near Duck- on a weekday, you could fly thru the dunes in the State Park/protected area where there were no beach houses. I remember doing 110mph in my old '79 RX-7, racing a 280ZX. WAY too many houses/people now to go fast up there. Currituck had no Sheriff's office on the Outer Banks then- the deputies had to come over from the mainland.

Of course back then, a nice beach lot could be had for about $25,000. But I was only making $20k, so that was WAY outta my budget!
