    Hello,

I posted in the Ferrari California-specific thread to see how 10-year-old friendly, the backseat is as we are hunting a new fun car that I can share with my wife and son. We love car shows, rallys and just driving around town but the next car I am hunting should have somewhat doable backseats and wanted to get some suggestions.

We are coming off a Bentley CGT and that was doable for sure but my son REALLY likes the Ferrari brand so I figured I would start here.

My goal for this next car is to share the love and rides with my wife and my only child, who will be seated behind her. We have a Benz AMG 4 door now so the future ride needs to be somewhat kid-friendly, convertible super plus, and a good all-around experience whether we are having fun in a rally or driving to the mall. So far the California seems to check most of them.

Next weekend we are going to test drive a Rapide, The California, and a Bentley Speed.

The FF I just cannot get behind as much as I want to, mainly aesthetically.

I would prefer to be around and or under 100k as well for this car. Any suggestions or input would be great.

    Thanks!

Someone in our area owns a white FF with an Italian flag racing stripe on the hood. It really improves the appearance of the car. Also, the FF is all wheel drive, which makes it so much more useful as a touring car. I don't know what the price point is for these, but you might want to check one out!

I just picked up an FF for the reasons Op noted. I’d like my kids to come on C&C’s with me and drives. I also want something utilitarian, a car I can get groceries, throw golf bags in, etc.
Like the OP, I’m not a fan of the rear but it is growing on me with the “shooting brake” design. I also picked all black to hide the lines.
I have 2 seater F cars but a 4 seater will share the love and nothing beats an F NA V12!!
I love Astons as well and daily a Vanquish but the back seats are very tight.

I think if the kids can fit in the back of the California is dependent on how far back the front passengers need to move the seats.

Im 6'1 and no way anyone can sit behind me in the California.

One question - have you driven an FF? I used to be like you - hard to look at the FF. Then drove it. And it was a revelation.
Honestly as fun as a 458 with a better sound.

With f-cars you're probably limited to the 365/400/412, 456 and maybe a 612 within that budget and requirement for a usable back seat. I don't think the convertibles will really work. Maserati Granturismo has a very large back seat if you choose that route.

I've just bought a 612, had it 3 days, ideal for the family, my son heavily influenced me too, when I asked, 991 Turbo or older Fcar, there was no contest. Now I own one, I can see why. PS don't listen to me, due to honeymoon period :)
