I own a 2002 360 spider that I agreed to have ECCP sell on a consignment agreement. After I looked at the concept and spoke to the management I thought it would be a good deal for both parties. 7,000 people per day visit the showroom. What a mistake I made. I shipped the car to their showroom early September so ECCP could sell it. Early October came around and ECCP called me up and told me that they were going to purchase the car for themselves. They told me they were in the process of getting financing and would wire the funds by the 15th of October. With ECCP buying the car for themselves all efforts to sell the car on consignment was put on hold. Please keep in mind no money changed hand, just a verbel commitiment. All along I was told the money was coming. Well to my surprise I found out that they took my car and were charging people $20.00 to have their picture taken in a Ferrari without any authorization from me. I was livid. Their defense was I told you I was buying the car, so I thought the car was ours to do what we wanted to do with it. Here I trusted Exotic Cars to sell my Ferrari on consignment which states nobody will drive the car, and they were profiting off my car, not thinking about all the ware and tear of having people of all shapes and sizes sitting in my Ferrari.

Long story short, the car is back home in my garage, but the whole thing was a nightmare. Everything they told me they didn't do. Don't trust these guys if they approach you to sell your car on consignment. The showroom is very nice, but the business is ALL FLASH AND NO CASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should contact a lawyer and see what kind of case you have against them. If they were in fact using your car for the photos and charging $20 per person for a photo and you had no knowledge, well I would believe you are entitiled to some dollar amount out of it. I have a good lawyer I can give you who helped my father in win a lawsuit against NY NY casino regarding his Ferrari. Let me know if I can help.

Thanks for your comments. What made me so made was that fact that they were sneeky about it. I wouldn't of found out unless a friend of mine was in Las Vegas and saw my car with people sitting it for $20.00 a pop.

They had a picture of your car up on their eBay adds a few days ago. I remember seeing a red 360 spider with two chicks in it. I think it even had a "Get your picture in a Ferrari" sign.

With Vegas... All that glitters...usually belongs to someone else!

Jeez, is there no limit to what these scam artists will try? Sorry to hear of this. It seems like relationships are everything in the F-car world. Even then you never know what will come up.

So sorry to hear about this. I quess they were going to buy it $20 at a time.
What was their reason for not giving you a check on the 15th of October?

They told me they were waiting for their flooring line of credit, which I still don't think they have. That is why they have to sell everything on consignment. But looking at the numbers, they get 7,000 people per day 365 days per year into their showroom. At $20.00 per pop, and say they get 2% of the gate to take a picture they are making over $1,000,000 per year.

Wow, that is a shame. Your car is beautiful. I was in Vegas a few weeks ago and saw some people taking their picture with your car in the photo area. I hope it wasn't damaged in any way. I definitely wouldn't have thought they would use a customer's car for that. It would seem to me like you would have a pretty good case for some kind of compensation.

They broke the rear wind screen and some minor scratches. I replaced the screen and worked like a dog yesterday detailing it. Its cherry now. ...........

I took that picture that shows the red 360 circled - that was a different one. They had a seperate booth with 'get your picture taken in a Ferrari' for $20. there were a lot of Kevin Federline's getting their photos taken...........

The booth is even prominently featured in their DuPont ad.

I would talk to a lawyer about trying to disgorge the profits they made from your car. You might be entitled to something from a "rental fee" all the way to everything they gained in lying to you.

What a bunch of low lives, that Kevin Federline comment is hilarious as that Douch has a silver 360 Spider.

Wow, I was just there and said to my girlfriend, "I'd be so pissed if they had these people doing that to my car". Sorry my friend. The good news is the car is back. I couldn't bring myself to sell either......

I could be wrong and not usually in the business of passing on rumors and misinformation, but I think one of the principals was involved a few years back in a major car scam in AZ which involved in a few banks, car credit corp's, pay-offs and bribes.

They basically got hot hard to find cars (M3's, 360's) which were flipped or stolen from dealers - not paid for - got banks to lend them money using the cars as collateral - sold the cars to people and explained the titles were in transit from out of state DMV's - again keeping the money. Eventually they scammed the wrong person when the title never showed up and the local sheriff arrived. From there, I don't know where the story ends other than since it was white collar crime no one ended up in jail and/or the rich folks who got scammed were too embarrassed to prosecute.

If true, the comment about a lack of credit to floorplan the cars is consistent with thier the previous MO. Much better to use someone else's money and good credit than your own.

ECCP's reputation has been nicely documented in the Arizona/Nevada section of F-chat. Do a search, you'll come up with quite a bit. I paid them a visit in November while I was in Vegas for the SEMA show. Just walking in, I got the feeling of greasiness. They had some cool stuff for sale (memorobilia-wise), but....no thanks. And $20 to have a picture taken in a Ferrari?? I know a few guys on here who would gladly give a half-price discount and let you sit in their F-car. :D

    Oh my.

You should talk to a lawyer for sure. Especially if they busted your rear glass.
