OK folks, I am trying to get a list of the sights I shouldn't miss on a proposed tour of Europe next summer. I may or may not have my girlfriend with me for the trip so an all out petrolheaded trip may not be allowed, but theoretically at least, what car related sights should I not miss?

    I came up with:
    Le Mans
    Monaco
    Modena
    Sant Agata (sp)
    The Ring
    Auto Salon in Singen

Anywhere else that anyone can think of, I will probably be driving but it won't be a mega powerful car!

    Fire away :D

    Hi, :)
If you are in France anyway, you should definately go and see the "Schlumpf Collection"/National French Automobile Museum in Mulhouse in the North east of France!!! It is most probably the best car museum in the world, and they have more than 500 cars on dispay.... arround 125 Bugattis and lots of Ferraris are in this Mekka of Automobiles! You can easily spend a whole day there!

    Cheers

    Carsten

    How long do you have?

Also I notice you have Sydney in your profile so, when you say Europe do you include the UK :D If yes then:

    Brooklands
    Goodwood
    Beauli Museum

    Cheers everyone.
I will definitely try the Schumpf collection for sure.
Gary, I am from the UK so Sydney is just a temporary home on my latest trip. I am looking at maybe 3-4 weeks off next summer probably around late August into early September. Thanks for the UK advice though, I will have to go back to those places once again ;)

You can also go to the "Technik Museum Sinsheim".
They have a couple of Ferraris (including a 250 GTO), biggest Formula one car collection (and other racing cars), military vehicles and airplaines (Concorde, Tupolev). It's very very big.
The cars on display belong all to private persons and they take their cars sometimes for a ride and so not all cars are on display all the time.
It's not only about exotic cars it's just in generell about every technical stuff a can move with.

    Hi
just heard that the 250 GTO is actually a rebodied 330 and that the biggest Formula one collection is also not there (but it's written on their homepage!)

OK , i advise you go to London in the UK. There are loads of exotics there. I just came out of a tube station and a db7 raced past me. Also I saw loads of ferraris.

Thanks for that one, I am a regular visitor to London luckily so get to see plenty of exciting exotics down there. Usually see some super Ferrari or another if I get chance for a little stroll!

Re: largest F1 car collection, it is at Donington Park Circuit - the Donington Collection just next to the circuit in fact!!
