    Okay guys. I may be getting a little ahead of myself here. As many of you know, the BMW plant in Greer, SC holds this event every year. This years feature is "the cars of Italy". I received my info last week, and it sounds like a great event again this time around. The dates are October 14,15,16. The show is on Saturday the 15th. Hope everyone can make it!!!

    That was a drive?

    I remember a taxi-way, something about seat-backs being in the full upright position, luggage stowed, and turning off all cellular devices.

    Next thing I knew, we were at the Zentrum.

    For any that have been in the past, which of the events do you recommend? I definately want to do the Sunday Rally, but am not sure about the Autocross or the receptions and banquets. Are we going to organize any Ferrari gatherings during any of the activities?

    FCA/NC is supposedly going to make a big splash at the event. I'm sure CAFE will be involved too. Since I'll likely have "smaller obligations" by then, I'll drive down for the Saturday show then motor back to Winston in the evening.

    Last year I did the show, rally and autocross. They all were fun events. I am still amazed at how they let you drive the BMW's on the autocross track...Just put it this way, I am glad its not my car. As for the rally, everyone needs to attend. The route is very well planned. I have lived in the Upstate for years, and they always send us somewhere I have never been. The cars are very diverse. Last year my Ferrari was one of two that went on the trek, but about 30 to 50 other makes usually go. I am also going to attend the plant tour on Friday. BMW really has a state of the art operation. This should be a fun weekend...I hope everyone can make it....

    Been a while since I've posted. This is a great event and I hope we can get a big crew out there again. Last year we threw a quick after party over at my place for all F-cars a few miles from the event. Hope to do it again. Look for postings.
