Why are the valve covers not red? Aren't all Enzo valve covers red, or am I wrong?

Yes, you are correct, the valve covers themselves are red with a carbon fiber strip that is laid over the top with chromed Ferrari plate on top of the Carbon.

No, actually this particular engine is non original and incorrect.

As an aside, this engine is overpriced.

That photo is correct. If this engine is indeed an Enzo engine, it may be a pre-production unit.

Personally I would want to give it a thorough tear-down inspection before purchasing at that price. Who knows what's inside. It may be empty!

No its out of an Enzo, but it has been rebuilt, albeit incorrectly.

Dude, what's with you lately? You've become very vocal with your Ferrari genius. Why are you only now posting with regularity? We could've used your knowledge for years!

I've been too busy collecting copious amounts of Ferrari information :). Just kidding, I read much more than I post, so that I can learn more. By the way a sub 400 mile Enzo is on its way to California from Florida, it should be here shortly. Its going to get driven rather than hid. Have you seen the required qualifications for the new Enzo? Also its my understanding the car will be produced in two versions and will cost 1.8m usd.

    :)

    DYKTSN?

I keep hearing about hybrid and KERS stuff, but I'm not abreast of current details. Do you know the serial number of the Enzo to which the engine in the original post is linked?

Yes. However, I can't say too much more. Other than Ferrari is really catering to requests that customers have made in the past about the next Enzo.
