Please let me know if this is a repost but i could not find this specifically discussed anywhere else. It seems there are some misconceptions about the engine replacements that have been performed on some of the enzos. I was wondering what anyone knows about why these engines are being replace. Some people claim that it is just becuase these are just such high maintenance cars that because they are not driven a lot and taken care of that the engines have to be replace. That doesn't really make sense to me, it makes more sense to me that the cars are made extremely well since these are expensive cars, but that the drivers are just simply bad drivers and are screwing them up. This is a bigger deal because many people who sell these enzos with the replaced engine will try to claim that the engine was replaced because of factory problems but I have some theories that these people are just crappy drivers and destroying these finely tuned machines. Any stats on the amount of replaced engines would be great, or any other info anyone has would be great also. Thanks

I remember Mr. Glickenhaus saying that when it came time to start up P4/5, the engine from the Enzo it was based on had not been run in over a year. They did some tests, monitored it for a little while, but it was fine. Maybe it has more to do with them not being maintanenced properly, but I don't know for sure since I do not own one. :)

It seems that Enzo's in particular are more temperamental Ferrari's. Too many people buy them and let them sit.

Sort of like buying an LM car and never taking it out. After so long, what do you think is going to happen?

If you have any information or experience to draw upon to support this please enlighten us.

Do you have any information as to the nature of the failure and if so please connect that to how driving style can be a cause.

Ahh, I've redlined and overrevved these engines all of the time. ;) There are probably more worse drivers with the 360, F430, 575s, etc..etc.. than the Enzo. I don't think this is the case.

Again this is just a poke in the dark so to speak, but I don't really understand how someone who has a million dar car doesn't spend the few thousand to get it maintenanced regularly. Obviously if the car is not maintenanced properly then there would be long term effects and possibly damage the engine. But if the engine is maintained properly then the engine should be fine. So from there there are only two things that could possibly cause the problem ferrari is making bad engines which seems unlikely to me, or the drivers are causing problems by doing things to the cars that would cause these sorts of problems.

"Mr. fastgman, what you've just written is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

They might not..could be sheer laziness, not lack of money. In all reality I think the Enzo engine issue is being blown out of proportion. There's been maybe 2-3 engines I've heard that actually broke down, and that's less than a percent.

I suspect we have a teenager here who doesn't have a lot to work with. At least I hope so, otherwise lets just hope he doesn't vote too.

See you all later, fastgman is making my head hurt and life is too short.

I love how you can attack me, the lowest form of argument, and not address what I was considering. Interesting that means you are an extremely weak person and don't have a real answer to my question, or any evidence in the contrary. Though your comments are fairly hilarious, I don't really see the point in how they relate to the issue, but it doesn't matter anyways, because Peloton25 was curtious enough to show me where I can find the answer. It is funny how this forum has change. It seems that everyone likes just attacking people, instead of actually talking about real issues, it is ridiculous!!!
