Engine cover adjustment

I have a friend who is not active on Fchat that I’m helping here - not a friend, really, but a guy I’ve chatted with a few times at C&C because of our mutual love of our Speciales.

His car’s engine cover is just a tad off center and doesn’t always pop up when released because it gets stuck in the panel gap in the bottom/rear right corner. He called our mutual dealer and they said to call the dealer’s go to body shop - shop wants him to bring the car in and he (and I) thinks it should be an easy enough fix to do it himself (he lives 2 hours from the shop). Looks like just loosening the four bolts and adjusting. Any tips or experiences doing this?
