Is it feasible? I have two options, as I cannot travel with a rattle ball can,
and I need (ideally) a liquid sample.

    1. spray a piece of cardstock and have a suitable sample

    2. forget it. I looked at various google opinions and could not find a realistic reply

    Regards, Alberto

I've gotten paint out of aerosol cans to use for brush painting just by spraying into a small container like a pill bottle. Do it outside, wear gloves, and cover around the opening of the jar with a towel or something to keep most of the atomized paint in the jar. Probably a good idea to wear a respirator.

Another option is to bleed all of the propellant out of the can by holding the spray head down while the can is inverted, then punching a hole in the can and pouring the paint into another container. But you have to be certain that all the propellant is removed before punching the hole, lest you wind up with paint spraying everywhere.

Use common sense and protect yourself whichever way you go. Good luck.

I have often done that, usually into the cap of the spray can, from which I brush it on.

If you use a large jar and keep the opening away from you you'll get less paint blowing back at you. And hold your breath if you like if you're spraying a lot out.

I have done that many times. Use the cap of the can as a depositor and spray into it. Then collect the paint with a brush.
