I don't have access to the manuals, how do I open the fuel door if the button is not working?

    Tks

    From the manual:
    Emergency Opening
In the event of a failure of the fuel tank cap flap button, the flap can
    be opened manually.
Open the luggage compartment lid, turn the lock E and open the
    flap F.
    Pull the emergency string G.

Lock E is in the right rear corner of the trunk. It is the same thing you open to plug in a charger. The string that you pull seems to be directly below the charge plug, toward the bottom center of the opening, just to the right of the metal piece that the charge plug mounts to. It is a red string with a loop at the end, VERY easy to spot.

    Tks

I had looked there before and could not see it...

I checked. I think I found the flap F where the charger plus is. There is no red string to pull...

Try this it actually resets the computer. Hold the unlock/trunk button on the FOB for 30 seconds. This trick always works when my trunk won't open

You mean that black loop with the little red thing? My car doesn't have that. I found a lot of electrical wires and a loose piece of metal. But not the release cable...

I tried the two key button reset and maybe that helped as the door finally opened. I could alwys hear the noise trying to open even before so not sure what really happened...

Finally looked in the manual. They show a cable marked in red. I don't see it in my car...

resetting the FOB is just locking and un locking with FOB,with all doors closed, that will reset system, can you hear the fuel door release motor when pushing button? if so you may need a new fuel door hinge, emergency release cord may be tucked away too far behind panel

After a year my fuel door stopped opening but I could hear a relay activating--the dealer just had to adjust the mechanism and then it worked fine. Until yesterday. Tried to put the roof up and got a red "failure" message on the screen, the trunk wouldn't respond to the fob or floor button, and the fuel door wouldn't open. All at the same time. Glad it didn't rain and I didn't run out of gas. Today all worked as normal. Anyone see this combination before?

This happens to me all the time. I reset it with the FOB, another poster stated just off then on, but the only thing that works for is holding unlock +trunk for 30 seconds.

Based on what I can recall seeing here, the button on the floor seems the more common culprit. Can you open the trunk with the button next to the fuel door release?

door does not open when pressing the button on the floor. I pulled the red string in truto open it, lubricated the entire thing but the cellenois does electrial switch does not seem to make and noiuce or movement when I press the floor button to open it. I heard there was some sort of reset via the key fob that may work? true ?

My fuel door only opens when the engine is off and the key is out. Are you removing the key and then trying to press the button?
